Ambiance, service, food and cocktails were all wonderful! Carlos was our bartender and he did a great job orienting us with the menu and all his recommendations were great!

We swung by for an impromptu Sunday night dinner and drinks. Service was great and we had some delicious chicha moradas and peruvian inspired dinner.

I found this restaurant in the Michelin Guide, so thought I'd give it a try with my wife. Service and Atmosphere were great, but the food and drink were just OK. She had a Pisco Sour she said was good, but I had the first drink on their cocktail list, the Orden, and it just tasted like whiskey without anything else. The Yuca appetizer looked like fried cheese sticks, but just tasted like bland potatoes with unremarkable sauce. The entrees were just OK, and were too salty. All in all, I was just not very impressed. Our server was really good and like I said, it has a nice vibe, although the artwork on the wall seemed unnecessary, you can be the judge of that.

The food is terrible, a waste of money and expensive..

Too loud! Small area with bad acoustics. Tables were too close and we had to endure an extremely loud 3 top and a group across the room yelling at each other

Made the reservation at 2:30 and when we got there were told the kitchen closed at 3. They still served us, but I was disappointed as we were wanting to get the bottom less drinks thinking brunch was until 4pm. They must have change their time to 3 since the last menu update. I suggest to either add a warning when selecting to make a reservation close to a time when the kitchen will close or the restaurant call to give a heads up. The food was good but we had to Order in a hurry. Server was ok. The place was clean and nicely decorated.

I’ve been here twice - once for brunch and once for dinner. My low review is mostly based on two things: the misleading way tip is set up and the brunch food. In terms of tipping, there’s an automatic 20% included in the total, but at the bottom of the receipt is also a “suggested tip amounts” section ranging from 20-25%, and these numbers are based on the total plus tax and tip, and not just on the cost of food and drinks! It’s not stated on the menu that tip is already included, and the waiter has never mentioned it either. When I came for dinner with a group of friends, we actually did end up overpaying by over 30% because we hadn’t realized what was going on. While it doesn’t seem that bad as you can still catch it if you carefully read your receipt, sometimes that can be difficult if you’re in a group and it seems the restaurant may just be banking on folks not catching that little detail. So you better pay attention to your bill at the end of your meal! The food for dinner was pretty decent, while the brunch food was not good. I got the huevos criollos. The eggs were bland and overcooked. The mini arepas were tasty though. Probably better just to order actual Peruvian food so maybe part of that’s on me. The atmosphere is fun - it’s very trendy/Instagrammy if you’re into that sort of thing. For brunch, there was a drag performance which was really great and top-notch.

The ambience and service are excellent. However, I believe the portions and quality of the meals could be improved. You're definitely paying for the ambience rather than the quality of the food here.

Nice place and fantastic show

We had a delicious ceviche, seasonal mushroom appetizer and whole beautifully prepared sea bass for two. It was an excellent meal and we love the decorations and ambience. Only downside was the noise level which was high maybe because of low ceiling. Otherwise, it was the perfect meal.

My wife and I have dined at Secreto de Rosita at least 3 times and have really enjoyed it. However, our check last night included a gratuity fee of 20% without notice and the check still recommended/asked for a tip of 20% and 22% on top of the gratuity fee (ironically including the gratuity fee in the calculation). We eat out every Friday night and very much respect and appreciate the hard work of all the staff, even more so with the pandemic and inflation. Therefore, we always tip at least 20%. But the unexpected gratuity fee of 20% with a tip recommendation on top of that of was very disappointing as it was a way to pull a fast one on customers. I am fine with an obligatory tip/gratuity fee for staff to make sure no one screws them over by not tipping but it needs to be transparent if a tip is asked for in addition to that.

Nice ambiance and service, but not impressed after spending $200 in 3 drinks 3 apps and an entree. I let them know that it was for an anniversary upon making the reservation and we felt that we were given the least romantic sit in the entire restaurant. The yuca appetizer was great, the classic ceviche was good, and the lomo saltado was made with soy sauce (extremely salty) instead of stir fry sauce as advertised, it was tendered but we could tell that it had been frozen at some point. I was very disappointed as there are many other places that we could have enjoyed more for less money and left more satisfied in our anniversary.

My fiancé and I have a reservation they give us the worst table even though we did the reservation 4 day before they make us wait for the table! The service was poorly! We felt discriminated by all the staff just because we look young. We didn’t exceeded their expectation so they discriminated us by the way we was dressed! The food was nothing special very BASIC!! everything was very simple No taste at all. Wasn’t to its expectations. For the way the price was for the food!
