We had to leave before even ordering because they have RATS!!!! LARGE RATS!!! While we were waiting to order we was a large rat run across the floor!!!! It was not distracted by the noise or people in the restaurant. It just simply ran across the floor in front of us and we were inside the restaurant not outside!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!!!!!!
Our goto pre-theater dinner spot. Great food and great value. Most times the restaurant is so busy, but we still get our food in a timely manner. Never have to request to speed our food to our table as we tickets to a show. And it's right around the corner from National Theater. Can't beat that!
Been to this location several times (also to the Chicago location) & didn't love it this visit. We sat for awhile before anyone came over. Had to ask for water then waited forever. Then he brought our bill but we wanted desert, got the bread pudding, which was cold. Just not a great dinner this visit.
We enjoyed our first time at Elephant & Doyle. Food was delicious. They were a bit short handed but were still able to get what we ordered.
Showed up here randomly late at night on a visit to Washington D.C. with my boys and the food was amazing and the service was top notch!
If I could chose no stars I would have. The staff were very rude. Dairy free was requested, picture to prove what was ordered shown to the waitress as the customer is allergic to dairy, and a cheeseburger was served. The waitress was shown that a hamburger was ordered due to dairy allergy her response was “you get a cheeseburger for dinner or don’t eat ”. The waitress put her hands on someone in my group to get their plate and stained their shirt rather than saying “excuse me”. Tripp or Trick basically yelled at our group the entire time like a drill sergeant she clearly chose the wrong profession. The ice cream served for dessert because the blueberry cheesecake we were supposed to have had never made, was freezer burnt and gummy. When they put ice cream in front of the dairy free person who asked for a dairy free option they stated no dessert for you give it to your friend. I have ate here before and was severely disappointed to embarrassed to bring my friends here with the disgusting food and awful service.
The food was AMAZING. The service was also amazing. V was our server and he was delightful (I do hope I am spelling that right, apologies if I am not). We ordered a Cesar salad with salmon, fish and chips, and a Shepards Pie. Everything was phenomenal. This was the best meal I have had as well as my group has had in a long time. I highly recommend this restaurant, please go!!!
Burgers were way undercooked, fries were OK, the cheese dip with pretzels was decent but not much service was absolutely terrible, and both had heartburn from it later. They did have cool decor for soccer fans.
We were a big group of 10 but they were able to seat us all together. The food was great and the service was great as well. Would definitely go again next time we're in DC.
It's the one of the closest halfway decent places to eat near the National Mall. It's okay, but just

We had a reservation at the bar.... We decided to sit on the table and the guy at the bar had HORRIBLE customer service, it was a tall men. He took longer than 15 min to give us 2 drinks and was upset because I wanted him to make me a drink with some type of fruit juice, we also order a side of chicken wings and we have to pick it up at the bar and take it to our table. We are paying for service and it not our fault that he is not happy with his job.
The grilled chicken club was great. Also enjoyed the sweet potato fries and the beer cheese pretzel bites. Great irish pub atmosphere.
Solid meal. The server was working really hard. Rashad did a great job. The business needs to hire more help. You can't expect one server to cover the territory he was being forced to cover.
We had a reservation & as such, were seated promptly. We ordered the fish & chips, the pie flight & the pretzel bites. The food came out relatively quick, portion size was generous & it was good. Overall, 4/5 and that's only because it was stifling hot/humid where we were (in the bar area) and because it took so long to get drink refills & the check at the end. We'd still recommend (the food was really tasty) & will definitely be back in the future, hoping the inside temperature was a fluke & that there was just something wrong with their a/c tonight. You know it's bad when fellow patrons are all fanning themselves and/or when some of the female patrons are removing shirts/dining in sports bras & the staff just turn a blind eye.
V was our Server. Outstanding Gentleman who was very busy and took great care of us. Top notch service. Hope to see him again, real soon.
