I eat here every 2 weeks or so, I love their Beef and Lamb Tibs and sides. Always get carry out so can’t comment on eating in the restaurant. It’s delicious and always tastes fresh. Highly recommend the Lega tibs over the Derek tibs. Taking off one star because the meat does tend to be SUPER oily compared to some other places. I love the flavor so I keep coming back, I just wish it were slightly less oily.

Elfegne Restaurant is truly one of the best in DC. Their authentic Ethiopian cuisine is outstanding, and the hospitality makes you feel right at home. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and experience you get. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to enjoy delicious food and great service.

It was our first time in DC, and we had such a wonderful experience dining here with my family! My kids loved the Shiro and Alicha Doro Wot (chickpeas and chicken), while my wife and I enjoyed the Awaze Tibs (spicy beef) along with the 6 vegetables combo everything was so delicious. The service was super friendly, and even the bathroom was very clean. We’ll definitely be coming back!
