Great spot for coffee, baked goods, brunch, and dinner!

Unfortunately the coffee just wasn’t good. I was recommended to this coffee shop twice so I finally gave it a chance and got a simple oat milk latte and it was not even just meh, but not good. For $6.50 I was expecting something much better, but I ended up throwing half of it away. Not sure if it was the oat milk that was bad or bad coffee? But it was bland. I’ll give 3 stars though for friendly service and vibes.

Great place to go to with friends to get work done during the week! But be warned about the no WiFi policy on Friday!! The espresso mousse was incredible, and the drinks fun!

You come here for the atmosphere. The food is pretty good too, but overall expect to pay a pretty penny for anything here which brings my food rating down. No wifi, to discourage working and not talking to each other. I get that, and it also doesn't clog up the coffee shop. but still definitely a *vibes* coffee shop not a working one. Love it for what it is.

**EDIT** they have wifi now!! I also had dinner here and food was AMAZING but also $$$.

Ellē makes THE BEST cakes in the city, perfect sponge with lightly sweet and delightful texture of buttercreams, mousse, and/or ganache. It’s where i turn to every time there’s an occasion for cake!

I wandered into this little cafe last weekend after running some errands, and it turned out pretty nice. The vibe is cozy without trying too hard, and the staff was friendly in a real casual way. I got a latte and a breakfast sandwich, both tasted fresh and hit the spot. The place wasn’t too loud, so I could just relax for a bit and scroll on my phone. Prices felt fair for what you get. Only thing I’d say is bring a light jacket because the AC was kinda cool, but overall I’d be happy to come back again.

Great coffee and pastries. Haven't been busy for the cocktails due to my work schedule, but have been meaning to stop by on a day off. Fantastic breakfast spot.

My favorite little spot in all of DC. Get the tempeh melt on sourdough and you’ll have one of the best sandwiches in your life

Very tasty, very pricey but worth it I guess.
My only issue is that especially when I order a takeaway, its very slow. I literally wait for 20 minutes or more for a simple coffee order.

Their egg sandwiches are pure perfection. Recommend ordering in advance and taking outside or to the park!

Went to Elle for the first time this morning with my family of 7 including some very finicky eaters, and we all LOVE it! Little kids got the yogurt and granola and blueberry scones, hot cocoa and matcha. Older kids got the breakfast sandwiches and quiche. All rave reviews! Took home some salted choc cookies and maple cinnamon granola, which barely made it all the way home. 10/10!
