the bartender was absolutely terrible. we waited over 20 minutes for two drinks (not busy at the time) because the bartender decided to have a conversation rather than make drinks. additionally she proceeded to have a completely inappropriate conversation with a customer referring to white people as “colonizers” and stated “the world would be better without white people.” say what you want about politics but this is absolutely unacceptable and inappropriate words to say as a bartender to your own customers. on top of our drinks taking 20 minutes and the most insensitive comments from the bartender, they charged an automatic 20% tip. drinks were not even good. i spent $40 on 2 drinks with a tip where it was not even remotely deserved. i was upset, disappointed, and felt robbed leaving here. go to literally any other rooftop bar in the city besides this one.

The bar had an occasional smell pass through that seemed to smell like sewer gasses. They also automatically include 20% gratuity on the check, but then the signature sheet has no indication of the automatic gratuity and asks you to add a gratuity. I should note that the signature sheet asks for a gratuity and not something like additional gratuity that is more common in places with similar practices.

We were told it was open on the 4th and waited for the doors to be opened. Never happened and when we asked the staff they pretty much ignored the 10 people standing in line waiting. Not sure what the issue was but rather disappointed.

So, this is a bit hypocritical, but even though this place is realistically 4 stars, it's 5 in my heart because it's quiet, the drinks are adequate, the bartenders are very sweet, it's not pretentious, and the couch that faces the moon is SO comfy. If you can get the couch to yourself, get a drank, get a little tipsy, and bring a good book or lay down so you can stare at the moon for a bit.

Walking in the rooftop was messy a lot Of trash on the floor, the bar is small and basic you pretty much just get an ok view . You can’t see the white House from the rooftop . There’s no food only bar snacks according to the weird guy with glasses who attended us, the lady couldn’t even make an old fashioned the right way so I left most of it there . As I was ordering I also noticed the lady washing their dishes in an old school sink as if it was the 80s or something I mean really? Wouldn’t come back here if they payed me to and I’m a Hyatt traveler . Not to mention they add 20% automatic gratuity on top of everything .

Bar tenders were great. Checking in was very strange as they required us to register the name and email of eat person. Then patted of down like a night club entrance.
Very nice, my hubby had 2 cocktails love them both, I'm a wine person ? they have good choices. Food (appetizers)amazing, had Lamb meatballs, Crab cakes and their Parmesan garlic French fries. The atmosphere was so nice. However they are missing a few tables for the couches ? Forgot to ask for their so good music playlists, so if possible can someone share from 8/1/2024 ?

I occasionally visit for the late night, party scene. Free entry, but the drink prices compensate. Music varies by the night/dj. All age demographics well, but it tends to be for 30's and up. Overall, decent spot to hang out and dance if you like. I will return.
