this is service not good
Entry- seated quickly on a Monday around 5:30p
Next: bathroom- male kitchen employee exiting restroom with apron and towels on apron exiting restroom - should have left immediately
Also, no door handle, just a dirty string acting as a door handle hanging from the deadbolt
Next- server in sweat suit (on a time crunch to see a show with my kid at 930 club) with $25+ entrees
Next- out of this, out of that (mozzarella sticks, blue cheese dressing, overhead convo w/ table next to us...)
Next- food... Meh
Next- 20 min to pay check and leave (explained to kid what being held hostage in a restaurant is).
Next: leave 20% tip and feel like I got ripped off.
Conclusion: not coming back
Also, called at 10:01 on Wednesday evening, 3x to discuss my experience and no answer:/
Clearly not interested in customer feedback

I go here as often as I can. Pizza is priced semi-appropriately, I gladly pay $23 for “The Miranda” which is approximately 6-8 slices. Honorable mentions: mozzarella sticks, Zia fries, and their garlic cheese bread. Everything, including cocktails is FIRE. Never have had a bad experience here and the service/staff are always fast and friendly.

Vodka Detroit style pizza was undercooked and a bit soggy.

The Bürgerbund could have been even better, but as a German you can always judge baked goods. The meat and ingredients would be perfect. The lattice potatoes served with it were crispy to the point. I would eat at Emmy again at any time.

Rude and aggressive treat for pickup. Black guy feels like God himself.

Wow, the margarita pizza, chicken sandwich, and Caesar were to die for. I have higher allergy concerns and the manager, David, was extremely attentive catering to all my dietary restrictions. He always had a friendly smile on his face and his hospitality is one of the best I’ve experienced in DC.

Great pizza, originally had it in NYC so had to try out the DC location. Ordered the MVP and it’s definitely winning

Not only is Emmy Squared delicious pizza, their staff is 5 STARS AMAZING! LeShanda Kelly hooked it up for us on Sunday night by making sure that we were fed on Sunday night. She was kind and let us take our time ordering, even though it was closing time! She did not let us go hungry!! THANK YOU LESHANDA!! Delicious food, even greater service.

Prior experiences at Emmy Squared in Nashville and the other DC location were 5 stars. This location was off. The burger was OK, not great. My beer from the tap was barely chilled. The bartender (I was sitting at the bar) was pouring himself Jameson and clearly intoxicated. Weird vibes.
