The service overall was good, but the food was a bit mixed. The risotto balls were delicious, but the pasta we ordered felt underwhelming. I had included notes in my reservation about celebrating my friend's birthday, and while I arrived early and expected things to be set for dessert, that part was overlooked. The hostess—who I think was also our server—seated me without acknowledgment of the notes, and when dessert time came, we were simply asked if we wanted coffee...

My friend and I wanted to explore any restaurant for Summer Restaurant Week, DC. I chose Equinox on 19th because it had vegetarian options. We did the 2 entrees option and liked our food choices.

Equinox has long been my favorite restaurant in DC. I am happy for them in their new location, which appears to give them more space plus a nice outside dining area. I did a Restaurant Week dinner with wine pairing, and as usual the food was sublime, meticulously prepared with attention to flavor as well as presentation. You can never go wrong with Equinox.
