Delicious meal! So glad to have discovered EtVoila after all these years. And it brought back many fond memories for one person in our party.

As usual we had a great meal. The only minor disappointment was the desert of praline ice cream with camel sauce and caramelized hazelnuts. There was so little caramel sauce that you could not taste the sauce. Minor compared to good time we had.

Food was delicious and our serving staff was exceptionally good on a very busy Saturday evening.

I've been to this place several times and am never disappointed. I invited a couple and they both enjoyed the food and the wine. Service was extra fast which was good because we were hungry. My confit de canard was tasty and went very well with the Chateauneuf du Pape. We did not have the waiter asking us every three minutes if all was Ok. His suggestions were useful. I will be back for sure

Food, as always was excellent. waiter efficient and pleasantly engaging. slight wait for table but maitre de quickly saw that party was supplied with drinks during wait, which was extremely nice gesture.

One of the best restaurants in DC, delicious bolognese pasta and duck. The service was fantastic and they were so kind to gift my parents an anniversary dessert. Been coming here for years and the food has always been astounding.

I had the hanger steak. Very good, probably one of the best in DC. I luke it medium and it was pink, yet the fibres were a little charred. Sauce was amazing. The food came out of the kitchen so timely the steak still had a crunch despite being doused in sauce. Just right. Endive soup was also great. Will come back.

We came to Et Viola to celebrate my mom’s birthday, and the entire experience was absolutely wonderful. It’s a quaint, cozy French-Belgian spot with so much charm — the kind of place that immediately feels special the moment you walk in.

The service was exceptional from start to finish. Warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming.

The food was just as impressive. We started with several appetizers:
• The pâté was incredible — rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced.
• The homemade bread was delicious and fresh.
• The mussels, especially the baked ones, were outstanding.
• The beet salad was a great, bright starter.

For my entrée, I had the tartare, which was incredibly fresh and prepared perfectly. The Belgian fries were spot-on — crispy, light, and perfectly seasoned.

Dessert was also a highlight. Everything we tried was great, and they even brought out a special birthday dessert with a candle for my mom, which made the night feel even more memorable.

Overall, an amazing meal and a truly special experience. Highly recommend Et Viola for anyone looking for a cozy, high-quality French-Belgian dining experience. We’ll definitely be back.

Every dish wr had was amazing. The butternut and French onion soup, the Cesar, The steak, pasta, duck and fish all 100%. Service was perfect. The place is quite tight sizewise though, but not to detriment.
