Enjoyed the Italian appetizer/small bites and pizza at Etto’s. A really nice selection of appys - we got a bunch. Anchovy with parsley and egg was really good. Also eggplant bruschetta and burrata. Ricotta was very fresh. Loved the pizza from the wood burning oven. It was a small space and a little on the loud side, but no big deal. Very friendly hostess and wait staff. Service was surprisingly fast for a crowded Friday night. Did not have a long wait for a table.

Vengo spesso da voi per il pranzo con i colleghi e uso i buoni pasto Coverflex, sapete se li accettate? Non vi trovo sull’app e sarebbe comodo poterli usare qui.
I really loved this restaurant. Normally, I think pizza is an overpriced dish despite being a simple meal with just a few ingredients. However, these people here have shattered all my preconceptions. They make the most high-quality and delicious pizza I've had in this area.

I wanted to like this place so badly. The food is really good, nice thin crispy pizza from a wood fired oven. Thoughtful Italian style appetizers and salads made with seasonal ingredients.
The staff is very bad. They are not interested at all in providing hospitality to the guests and were chatting, drinking, and on their phones the entire time of my visit severely detracting from my experience. Coupled with the fact there was no music whatsoever I couldn’t help but hear their gossip and drama my whole meal which was annoying to say the least.
Again, excellent food. Maybe takeout would be a better choice here

After a decade plus, Etto remains our favorite spot in the Logan Circle area. Great drinks, great snacks, great atmosphere, great for grazing or a full meal at any time of day

A Taste of Rome on 14th Street – Etto Delivers Authentic Excellence
We had a truly delightful dinner at Etto on 14th Street NW, DC. The Americano and Margherita pizzas were both outstanding—expertly prepared with a thin, crispy, oven-baked dough that had just the right amount of char, adding that unmistakable Italian character you’d expect from a Roman pizzeria. Each bite was flavorful and balanced, a testament to the skill and care of the kitchen.
The salad, dressed with vinocotto, stood out as a unique and memorable experience. It was our first time trying this rich, slightly sweet reduction, and it elevated the greens beautifully—both refreshing and complex.
As a starter, we enjoyed the olives from the daily menu. They were impressively done—each olive had a gently crisped skin and a succulent, well-marinated center that made them both satisfying and sophisticated.
Service was attentive and warm, striking the right balance between professionalism and friendliness. Though most guests understandably opted for the lovely outdoor seating on this perfect spring evening, we chose to dine indoors and were happy to find it cozy and welcoming, even during a busy hour.
Etto remains a true gem for those who appreciate refined, authentic Italian flavors in a relaxed yet polished setting. Highly recommended.

Great food and vibes. We love a patio moment here. Spritzes and pizza and burrata on deck. Especially the egg plant pizza. It’s easy to get a table here even when 14th street is busy as hell. Good indoor decor.

Fantastic Neapolitan-style pizza served in a cozy, vibey space with great service! I visited Etto for a casual Friday dinner with a friend, and we had a delightful time. They don't take reservations and are quite popular, so I was a bit worried that we'd be able to snag a table on a Friday; however, we, thankfully, managed to snag their last available table on their patio. The entire restaurant -- inside and out -- is super cozy and has a lovely, welcoming ambiance. The tables are positioned quite close together, so it can feel a little bit tight and loud, but it creates a really fun environment.
My friend and I split a Sicilian eggplant pizza and the tuna belly, both of which were phenomenal. The tuna belly was super flavorful and went wonderfully with the hearty starter bread; the celery leaves were a great final touch and pop of freshness to cut through the otherwise fatty, heavy dish. It was also the perfect way to whet our appetite for the pizza. The pizza was fantastic, with a great savory, slightly tart tomato sauce and a generous helping of smoky roasted eggplant. The crust has a great char and is quite thin and almost floppy, but it's to be expected for Neapolitan-style pizza; it just means you have to dig in pretty quickly or it'll start to get a bit soggy. The pizza is finally finished with a sprinkling of fresh basil and diced kalamata olives, which give the dish a good extra hit of freshness and brininess, respectively.
Overall, I had a wonderful time at Etto. It's the perfect spot for a casual dinner or happy hour, and I can't wait to visit again!

This spot was so incredibly disappointing. The food was really subpar (cold, low flavor) including a hot tea I ordered (water was lukewarm and my jasmine tea was weak). The waitress seemed strangely annoyed at all times and the garlic potatoes were so overwhelmed by the pure garlic dip, it was painful to eat. Ambiance was nice though. That said, would not go back.

The wood fire oven pizza is fantastic, especially the bread. Great olives on happy hour. The Aperol spritz is delicious and refreshing. Can’t wait to go back. Note: happy hour is only inside.
