Small food portions, dirty restaurant, substantial change in food taste and quality.

Stumbled on this spot having come from the Honfleur Gallery next door. The young lady who runs the restaurant let us sample the Honey Curry and Buffalo wings. My son, the world's pickiest eater, actually enjoyed it! We all got the wings, the Chickpea Mac N Cheese and Collard Greens, as well as the Carrot Cake. Took it home, and my wife, the world's 2nd pickiest eater, also loved it! The carrot cake was great too. Worth the drive to from New Carrollton to Anacostia, but good to know there are closer locations as well. Highly recommend!

From the customer service to the food, everything was amazing. 10/10!! I ordered the maple wings, collard greens, & Mac and cheese. I also got a jumbo chocolate chip cookie and carrot cake. I loved every single item but the Mac and cheese and carrot cake topped it off for me!

The server gave me great recommendations. There was so much food and all of it delicious. The "fish" patty was my favorite.

ELIFE restaurant in District Heights, MD is nationally known for their signature dish, the original vegan Mac N’ Cheese, and for their Sunday vegan soul brunch! Their collard greens, ziti, spinach casserole, black eye peas, cornbread, vegan popcorn, tuna fish, chopped chicken, sweet n’. Natural sweet potato pie and other other dishes too numerous too mention are absolutely fantastic! In addition, the selection is incredibly broad and the service is really excellent! It’s my heartfelt conviction that ELIFE restaurant is one of the best in the nation! Greg Anderson

Very bad tasting food. Ordered two entrees and a side. Something just smells and tastes wrong about everything. There's definitely far, far better vegan food available at other places. I rarely write negative reviews but this food is just too terrible to ignore quietly. Had to throw about 2/3rds of my order into the trash after I couldn't tolerate it anymore and bought a drink from next door to get rid of the food's taste. Total waste of $17. Give this place a miss, and you won't miss anything.

I just moved from Miami and was pleasantly surprised to find this great soul food option, which isn’t widely available in other US cities. I really loved the cashew Mac and cheese!!
