Honestly, this place is great! The food is awesome. It’s tasty, consistent, and usually very fast. The last point is now in question. It seems like they have recently jumped on board the uber/grubhub bandwagon and the delivery service pickup orders seem to have drastically slowed down the in-person ordering experience. The food took a comparative lifetime to be ready because the staff were stressing out packing pickup orders. Lots of other customers looked frustrated and so did the staff. I understand that online orders make lots of money, but the vibe has changed in a negative way. Hopefully they are giving the staff their share of the additional profits to offset the additional stress and reduced number of positive customer interactions they must be experiencing. If the experience is the same next time, then this will no longer be my go-to lunch spot.
Best. Shawarma. Ever.
Good and tasty food!
Excellent sandwich
good was pretty good. maybe not the best i feel like it was a bit salty. but you can’t beat it for the price Updated from previous review on 2025-07-10

I stopped in for a quick lunch, hoping for something fresh and flavorful. What I got instead was a dry, bland falafel wrap that tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. The pita was stale, the vegetables looked wilted, and the so-called “signature sauces” were watery and forgettable. There was absolutely no balance to the flavors — just a mash of textures and a lot of disappointment. The service didn’t help either. The staff seemed disinterested and rushed, even though the place was barely busy. My order was wrong the first time, and I had to wait again for a fix with zero apology. Cleanliness was also questionable — several tables were dirty and hadn’t been wiped down. I appreciate the idea of affordable food with a charitable mission, but that doesn’t excuse poor quality. There are way better falafel spots in town that actually care about what they serve. Sadly, I won’t be coming back.
One of the best places in DC for falafel. Their pita is nice and the zatar fries are really well seasoned. A few sauces to choose from and they donate to a good cause!
Best vegan shawarma and falafel bowl in the city. The zaatar fries are always on point. The staff is super friendly and the food is fantastic

It’s a small shop, but the food is delicious, the portions are really plentiful, and it’s very cheap.
