If you want fresh seafood to go - this is your place in DC. Right at the beautiful Wharf, you can’t beat the prices or the ambiance. We have always had great service. The only time we really had a long wait was during a Cherry Blossom weekend (and everything is overflowing with tourists)! Our son attends George Washington University so we visit the area quite often so fresh crabs are always part of our agenda. We take a cooler to bring some home. If you want to eat there they have an area to eat and you get to enjoy the beautiful marina view. (Unfortunately right now due to social distancing restrictions it’s not available to use - we are hoping that they will reopen it in the future.)

We happened to be visiting friends in the DC area and I wanted to check out the wharf for some seafood. Overall, this was super delicious and a great meal.I was starving and the portion size didn’t disappoint. I ordered the jumbo seafood combo and a soft shell crab sandwich, plus split some crab balls with a friend. I’ll start with the minor, less than ideal stuff. First, great food, but you’re going to be stuck in a long line/wait. As for the sides, they were just ok; we had hush puppies (pretty dry) and french fries (meh.) My soft shell crab was tasty, but I had asked for a roll, but it ended up on some really stale slices of bread, but like a weird whole wheat bread. I made due but the bread just kind of crumbled away.The rest.... soooo good. Fried shrimp were huge, scallops very tender, fish filet was flaky, crab cake was ok... not lump, but mostly meat, oysters were fine, and a ton of clam strips. I was thinking it would be a decent sized meal, but it ended up being more than I could handle alone. With everything fried, it was well seasoned and not too greasy. And for the portion, prices were pretty good too. Definitely great seafood!

Delicious food, large portions, reasonable prices. An authentic fresh seafood experience. We had snapper, crab cakes, hush puppies and Mac & cheese. There isn’t anything negative I could say.

Awful, awful experience.Our group waited a total of an hour and a half to eat: 50 minutes in line and 40 minutes waiting for our orders. The line wasn't even that long, the staff was just extremely lethargic and inefficient.The fish was tough and chewy. The calamari was old. The fries were soggy. Two members of our group were up all night throwing up from food poisoning.I guess the hush puppies were okay? But it's pretty hard to mess up fried dough...

We always try local food, but this was disappointing, not nice food at all. More batter than food. Ended up feeding the birds. Sorry but can not recommend it
I grew up on Cape Cod. I know good seafood. This is mediocre quality. For gruff and slow service, the food needs to be excellent. This is not it.

So I live in Florida but this place by far has the freshest seafood I have ever had! The guys were super patient and friendly. Price wasn’t outrageous either. I highly recommend this place for dinner. I am definitely coming back here on my next visit!

Every year for work we get crab legs and soft shell crabs and the service is always great. We call ahead to make sure they have what we need, because we are located an hour away but the drive Is well worth it.

Omg the wait was an hour after ordering and paying!! We had to stand up .. when night fell and the lights came on they were painfully bright and drew lots of flying bugs !! It was awful !!! They just kept taking orders not filling them in any kind of order!!! Awful experience !! Will never go back!!! I gave it a 2 because the food was good.., cold but good !!
