Our dinner was fine, not great but good. The menu was not nearly as interesting and extensive as it used to be though. That said, the Kramers restaurant and bookstore have changed a lot - the bookstore has lost its interesting book choices. It seems more now to be a restaurant that sells books. Very disappointing - we used to count on Kramer books for its book choices but we are not likely to come back when in the area again.
Cocktails were well-balanced and played classic literature titles. Clam pizza was delicious, crust was not too thick and bacon added the right amount of salt to mesh the flavors together. Service was friendly and attentive. Bookstore is added bonus!
Always a great neighborhood kind of place - reasonably priced, great food in a place that feels like a throwback to a neighborhood diner. Great for breakfast (Eggs in Purgatory - a must) afternoon snacks and sweets (the giant chocolate cake and all sorts of espresso and coffee drinks) and dinner (the Brussel Sprouts are amazing) - fast, efficient but friendly service staff and outdoor seating is a must when the weather is great!
