They definitely don't do things by half measures here, this place is flamboyant in the best way. Huge portion sizes, huge amount of decorations, huge hospitality. We went during spring and they had Easter decorations EVERYWHERE. Started off with their meatballs, which were tender and flavorful (loved the marinara sauce they used). I ordered the lobster cardinale, which was like if you married a really good lobster bisque together with pasta. It's pricey but they don't skimp on the quality of the ingredients (has giant chunks of perfectly cooked lobster). Definitely recommend. My sister had the sausage rigatoni, which was also very good, although didn't stand out to me as much. For dessert, we got the hazelnut cake, and our waiter even gave us some complimentary amaretto, which was a really nice way to finish the meal.

The best Italian food ever. Best lasagne and bread with dipping oil also. Service was top notch.

This place was so good! The ambiance was super fun with a full Easter theme (I guess they decorate for every holiday?). The service was phenomenal and the food was so good I forgot to take a picture of my meal. The complimentary bread was delicious and had 3 different kinds! I got the rigatoni with chicken and the pasta was so fresh and the chicken was perfectly cooked! The portions were huge there...even sharing I felt overly full. Do wish the meals were a little smaller or half size portions were available so I could've tried more things.

Grand ole Italian restaurant in the heart of Georgetown decorated to the hilt for Christmas. We were seated promptly in rather crowded yet charming main dining room. Lovely warm bread with luscious pesto olive oil arrived at the table after we placed our food order. Divine cannelloni Scampi di Mare in a saffron sauce and pretty good Pasta Primavera. We were also offered complimentary after dinner amaretto and vin santo. Delightful way to end a memorable meal in a unique setting.

Beyond disappointed in the chicken parmigiana. It was simply disgusting. Never order it. It came with penne... the penne & sauce tasted like chef boyardee. I'm appalled at this even being offered & at this price! I didn't even pay & i want a refun

The pasta here was delicious. I really enjoyed my ravioli. I also liked my wine and the bread they gave. The service was great and the waiter seemed knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant had a nice ambiance but it was also very busy and crowded. The tables were very close to each other. But overall I had a nice experience and would want to come back to try the other pastas on the menu.

This is a bananas place. Simply put it's huge portions, historic and decked out for whatever holiday seems to be happening We were there around Easter and it was wild with bunnies everywhere you turned. It feels somewhat like a tourist trap and they want to rush you in and out but it's, for lack of another term, real fun I had the veal parm which was fine. Not the best, not the worst. I also shared a burrata which was standard, and lobster arancini balls which were a stand out So go with out of towners, people into holidays or if you want to have a laugh and some fun photos

The absolute best Italian in all of the District!! Lunchtime gets you all the food without the wait! Love it!

This restaurant was highly recommended by a friend who lived in the area. It was Thursday afternoon around lunch time. About four or five other customers in the restaurant. I immediately noticed how dark it was in the place and the pink lighting. I thought that I could maybe bare it, but I decided to ask if I could see the window. I waited quite a while for someone to come over to the table. Unfortunately, when the waiter did come over he said that the staff had just dropped some plates and glasses, so that wouldn't be possible. Understandable, after hearing the huge crash. I finally got a glass of water, and bread. The bread was delicious! The salad was mediocre along with the ravioli. I kept wondering what it would be like if the restaurant was packed, the wait time between everything was just a little too long. Especially when the place was not packed. The dessert was very good.

A DC staple!! A must visit restaurant around literally any holiday because they decorate the heck out of their dining room! The portions are HUGE as is the menu, you really cannot go wrong with a choice here. Definitely get a dessert - the cakes and cheesecakes are phenomenal. If you can get a reservation, it's a MUST GO restaurant.

Food was amazing!! Service was on point. Everyone was so nice and we didn't have to wait long for drinks or food. The desserts were to die for. Will absolutely be back!

The sausage cannelloni was very mid. Stick to their more popular options! Ravioli is solid, and the gnocchi bolognese is above average. Overall kinda overpriced, more quantity than quality, but it's a reliable option most people can find something they like at.

Amazing food and service for years! Love it. We celebrate special occasions here often. Go hungry!

It's a reputable place. We had a family meal, but it's Lent, so no alcohol. Three entrees and water ended up being $180. You'll hear about the portions- they just didn't impress me. And it was very loud- hard to have a conversation. If you want pasta- enjoy. Don't expect tradition Italians dishes- these were more American interpretations. And be ready to pay.
