A variety of quality pourovers and good espresso. Hours are somewhat limited but its still worth going out of your way to visit.

The drink options are more traditional -- nuanced pourovers and strong espresso, but not so focused on milk and sugary Ingredients. They use beans primarily from Ceremony coffee roasters.

I particularly like the available seating and bathrooms in building's lobby. Very open and nice furniture, and a good place...
I’ve maybe posted a single review over the past ten years but felt compelled to post one after my experience at Filter. The quality of the coffee beans, the quality of the brewing process, the quality of the staff/customer service at Filter… it’s all superb. I am not exaggerating when I write that it was maybe the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had, certainly in the United States (it was a Gesha bean pour-over expertly brewed by one of the very competent baristas—no corners...
This is, without question, the best coffee in DC. Everyone else is playing for 2nd Place. It’s a gorgeous place, and the cold brew is magnificent. Quit dorking around with other places. You’ve found it.
