Some of the worst baked goods I ever purchased. I bought 8 cupcakes, some Mexican wedding cookies, and a slab of cake with icing and nuts on top which tasted rancid. Cupcakes were extra DRY, might have been couple of days old. The cookies were okay. The bill came to around $25. I probably would've done better by walking a few blocks to Trader Joe's for my afternoon treat.
We tried this place for the first time and were pretty underwhelmed. We tried the French apple pie, mixed berry pie and a brownie. The pies were okay, tasted a bit like store bought pie. The brownie was good! It has a nice flavor and texture. We would get the brownie again if we were there, but wouldn’t get the pies again. The French apple pie was very sweet (definitely need some variety in flavor) and the berry pie just was subpar overall. The woman who checked us out was very friendly and helpful, so our service experience was great!

The pastries are hit or miss, they don't have a consistent flavor. There were a lot of gnats in the cookie display. The black and white cookie was ok it just a freezer flavor to it. The chocolate croissant was better and the pumpkin sugar cookie was hard.

This bakery is located in the historic Eastern market on Capitol Hill, Washington, DC. My favorite thing is the molasses ginger cookie, with no icing and I like them gooey in the middle. I asked for them that way and I get them that way. Their snickerdoodles are also good and they have a nice selection of breads. Not everything is baked on premise. The owner and the other workers are all very nice people.
Parking: They are very busy on the weekends. The whole market and parking gets more difficult but come on Tuesday through Friday and you'll have your pic of parking spaces. Everything is almost everything is metered.
Kid-friendliness: What's not? Kid friendly about a bakery
Wheelchair accessibility: There are accessible parking spaces

The dessert baked goods are yummy. They do sell bread too.It is in the historic Eastern Market, but aside from some outdoor picnic benches there is no place to sit.
Vegetarian options: I have only seen one vegan cookie there.I believe the rest of the bakery options are vegetarian. They do have bagels with toppings that are not vegetarian.
Wheelchair accessibility: You will need to come in from the newer portion of the market that is a function space.

Love the bread I got. Vanilla raisin so full of raisins and you can smell the vanilla.I love the wheat and it's not my favorite type of bread but this one converts me to wheat

really love their chocolate croissants. love that the bakery has more of a no frills energy than most DC bakeries
The pastries are huge and super cute looking but everything was so dry and greasy! Honestly a let down. We got brownies and chocolate croissants.
Smoothies were really not worth it, but they're one of very few options in the area. Pastries were also not very impressive, though they were quite large.
Ordered a couple smoothies from here. Tasted like canned syrup fruit. Couldn’t get passed a few sips before throwing it away. Shocked they were serving that.
The brownie was delicious!
