We tried this place for the first time and were pretty underwhelmed. We tried the French apple pie, mixed berry pie and a brownie. The pies were okay, tasted a bit like store bought pie. The brownie was good! It has a nice flavor and texture. We would get the brownie again if we were there, but wouldn’t get the pies again. The French apple pie was very sweet (definitely need some variety in flavor) and the berry pie just was subpar overall. The woman who checked us out was very...
This bakery is located in the historic Eastern market on Capitol Hill, Washington, DC. My favorite thing is the molasses ginger cookie, with no icing and I like them gooey in the middle. I asked for them that way and I get them that way. Their snickerdoodles are also good and they have a nice selection of breads. Not everything is baked on premise. The owner and the other workers are all very nice people.

The dessert baked goods are yummy. They do sell bread too.It is in the historic Eastern Market, but aside from some outdoor picnic benches there is no place to sit.
Vegetarian options: I have only seen one vegan cookie there.I believe the rest of the bakery options are vegetarian. They do have bagels with toppings that are not vegetarian.
Wheelchair accessibility: You will need to come in from the newer portion of the market that is a function space.
