Excellent experience and amazing food! There were so many things on the menu that I wanted to try - I can't wait to go back.
I suggest making reservations.
I was there for brunch on Sunday. We ordered the Wild Hamachi appetizer, which was incredible! Then I ordered the Spicy Maryland Crab Cake Benedict and he had the Bucatini Carbonara. We were both very happy with our choices. I also ordered the Espresso Martini and he had the Bloody Mary, and again, they were both really good. The Bloody Mary was spicy, the crab cake Benedict was not spicy, despite the name, but I liked it this way, it was absolutely delicious. The carbonara was a very rich dish, the cheese, guanciale, and egg combined made a thick, flavorful sauce.
Very overrated Italian! Our pasta was under cooked, the duck ragu with foie gras sauce was overly salted, Why? We spent 2k for our group and def It Not worth it.
Wow, what an amazing experience. Great location, with wonderful views. Kevin provided wonderful service. The sommelier introduced herself while we were looking through the wine list. She was very helpful. We tried menu special items for the Fourth of July holiday. If you are reading this before the weekend ends, please make a trip to enjoy any left over special menu items. We sat by the kitchen and the Wellington looked absolutely delicious! It can feed a group of 3-4. The Tiger Prawns did not disappoint!! This was an all around amazing experience. I will definitely return.
Food was amazing! The music and the ambiance were spectacular.
Very nice place and people. Hello from Bosnia and Herzegovina (Europe)
Great atmosphere and if you can sit outside and the weathers nice it’s incredible. That said, the food is overpriced and just average. You are really paying for the experience
I went here tonight for the first time and I can definitely see why Fiola Mare has a Michelin star. I loved the food, ambiance, service !
We ordered half a dozen oysters as an appetizer - very fresh. We also shared the grilled calamari; so amazing and tender! it came with a chili oil on top, along with garlic , plus salsa verde and another sauce on the side (it had olives, capers, red pepper). the chili oil alone would’ve satisfied me marvelously, but surprisingly, adding a dollop of the two sauces on top of the calamari makes it into the perfect bite.
For my main entree, I got the Ama Ebi Shrimp Bucatini pasta, which was the star of the show! ⭐️ I’m obsessed with the sauce that’s mixed with hokkaido uni, it’s SO decadent and has an umami flavor. the shrimps were rich too and enhanced the flavors. I’m honestly not a huge pasta fanatic, but this was the BEST pasta I’ve ever had in my life !! only thing that would’ve made it better was if it wasn’t as al dente, but I should’ve clarified my personal preference when ordering.
My partner got Testa Coda di manzo - incredible! the best part was the most tender oxtail we’ve ever had, which melts in your mouth. the beef cheek was also great, very interesting texture that’s hard to describe
for dessert, we got tiramisu it was so delicious and not too sweet! you can really taste the coffee, which was a nice surprise. the cream on top of the tiramisu had like an ice cream texture and its flavor contrasted so well with the strong coffee flavor at the bottom. they also gave us a tasty little lemon cake for my partner’s birthday.
I didn’t get our waiter’s name, but he was the tall, older man. he was very attentive (checked in frequently), friendly (told us about a show from ‘70s), and had great recommendations especially when we were indecisive. when ordering, he described the items in grand detail, so we could tell he’s very passionate about food and we were impressed with his knowledge.
all in all, I had a wonderful experience and would definitely come here again! it’s expensive but worth it, especially if you’re celebrating for an occasion. thank you !!

We had a wonderful dinner at Fiola Mare. My favorite was the Ama Ebi Shrimp Bucatini. The sauce is very rich, and the shrimp, only half cooked, melts into it. What a fantastic way to use the shrimp to enrich the sauce! For dessert, we had a lemon shaped cake. It was very cute and tasty!

The food here is expensive but decent. I’m not sure that the food is worth the price but I will admit that it is good. We’ve been here a few times before.
Today, my pregnant wife and I were walking in the area. My wife attempted to use the restroom and she was stopped by the host on the way in. The host told her “do you know how much toilet paper costs? If you owned a restaurant you would understand”. He then took my wife outside and directed her to the nearest Starbucks.
Seriously? I’m pretty sure a Michelin restaurant does pretty well and can afford toilet paper. I understand that a restaurant can’t just open its doors to the public to use the restroom (especially in a high foot traffic area), but given this particular circumstance I think that an exception could be made.
For context, my wife was well dressed and put together. Will never come back here.

Fiola Mare is simply spectacular! The food was excellent—my salmon was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I also tried the eggplant dish, which was incredibly tasty. For dessert, the tiramisu was the perfect choice—fresh and delicious. The service was top-notch, making the entire experience even better. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a high-quality dining experience!

Fiola Mare, located on the Georgetown waterfront, is an exquisite seafood spot. The atmosphere is romantic, with its dim lighting and elegant décor. Being on the water is a vibe I love.
We started with the oysters, which were impeccably fresh and briny. The pasta we had was a luxurious mix of Key West shrimp, lobster, calamari, octopus, mussels, tautog, and bluefin tuna, all swimming around in a rich marinara brodetto. We also had Fagioli Uccelletto, a platter of San Marzano tomatoes, Vermont butter, crispy guanciale, and savory cabbage, served with pane fritto for dipping. And don’t forget the ricotta donuts for dessert.
Fiola Mare is an ideal spot for impeccable service and fabulous and creative seafood.

Ate outside here tonight, and really enjoyed every bit of it. Got seated right at sunset, and had an amazing view of the sun dipping below the horizon over the Potomac.
Service was excellent. Our server was passionate about his job and his company. Really great to see that in people. He took care of us, with the help of his team, the whole night.
The food was fabulous. Had the house made bread (basically a croissant in roll form), porcini mushroom soup, hamachi crudo, spaghetti with clams, and the lobster ravioli. Everything was perfect. Seriously. Nothing was over or under seasoned. The cooked items were cooked correctly, including the lobster. For me, the standout was the crudo. The wife praised her lobster ravioli, and she was right.
Drinks: she got the champagne. I went with their barrel aged Manhattan. Both were top notch.
There's no denying this place is going to set you back a few bucks. What I like about it, on top of everything I've listed, is that they 100% can justify their prices with their quality as their bond.
Dietary restrictions: They asked about allergies, and seemed to be able to accommodate them, within reason.

I would highly recommend this place for events. It is perfectly situated in front of the water and right next to a green park over looking the water. DO NOT MISS THE DESERTS. Genuinely some of the best I have had. They had a good price range as well with dishes ranging from 28 to 120$. Definitely able to get high quality food worth the price tag. You can spend from 50$ a person to upward of 200$+ if you buy the caviar a mound other things. Enjoy the ambiance and food the servers were so kind. Its definitely a must try!

I brought a friend here, he was visiting from Calabria, Italia. We had the best time. He enjoyed the food, he said it was true Italian. The atmosphere was perfect, the staff is attentive, lovely and so professional. My friend doesn’t speak English- only Italian so it was an absolute delight to meet and chat with chef Matteo and learn that he and my friend are from the same region in Italy, in towns 20 minutes from each other. It was delightful. We enjoyed Monkey 47 gin and tonics at the bar. At our table we had a seafood tower, burrata, and a white wine selected by our waiter. Everything was perfect. I love that we discovered this place. I will return with friends and family while we live in the DC area.
