Best spot to dance supporting dc’s drum and bass scene and so much more

This is specifically in regards to Sunday Love and other ticketed events. Flash sells far more tickets than they have space to accommodate attendees (just now they were turning away dozens of people with tickets), so be wary of making plans to go to their events. There’s a good chance they won’t honor the tickets you purchased and you will have wasted your time, possibly missed out on other events you otherwise would have attended, and have the added pleasure of contacting Shotgun or your credit card company to dispute the charge. Ugh.I would call this “unprofessional”, but really “fraud” is the more apt description. Even airlines aren’t this bad about overbooking.

I love coming to Flash, they're probably the best nightclub in DC right now. The first floor is nice, with a sit down bar and a dance floor. The second floor epic, I always feel like I'm in a bubble (in a cool way). My one complaint with this floor is that the lights can be way too over the top sometimes; I always bring sunglasses now. Additionally, every drink I've gotten on this floor is way too sweet. Drink prices are typical to most DC bars. The top floor is my favorite for sure- the ambiance is sweet, and well lit, making it easier to talk to people. The balcony has a gorgeous view of the city, and feels tucked away into the clouds. I really appreciate how the exterior of flash is dingy, and easily overlookable- it adds something for me. One thing I will say, as a young woman, I do always get approached by weird men here. The ratio of men to women is like 4:1. I would not feel good coming here alone. Staff is mostly women, and the venue does a great job of having security, but that does not change the fact that I can feel men staring at me almost constantly, in a way that is as bad as other clubs in DC.

The staff at Flash is extremely colorist and only cater to the White passing individuals! Do not recommend !!!

This place was...not great. I like a good dive bar and such but this venue just felt sad and creepy. Traversing the multilevels didn't help, each successive area was like peeling a rotten onion. The techno beats were meh. Note that I went for the "Bound" party which is promised to be an LGBT event catered to the kink community. Many people were either clearly straight or not wearing kink gear. Not sure the confusion there. Overall the space, crowd, and vibe was just not my cup of tea. In the words of former American Idol host, and session musician bass player Randy Jackson: "it's a no for me dawg".
I just realized I accidentally left a 1 star review (while drunk) when I meant to leave 5. Voila, problem solved.Great spot!

Oversold tickets. We couldn't even stay 20 mins.

Dead atmosphere, snobby bouncers (seriously, they follow you like a hawk if you're not a rich white kid), and there's always sketchy people there. It's never a normal pleasant night out when we go here. Once we were threatened and called slurs over our ethnicity- bouncer did nothing to help other than keep them coming near us again. The other time someone started touching me up and continued after I made it known I wasn't cool with it.

Bouncers that behave like the Stasi if you're too loud but do not intervene when you get hate crimed. Somehow this place attracts a very antisemitic crowd. When someone lashed out some antisemitic insults at me, the bouncer defended him. This place is awful. Don't waste your time there.
