Floriana is simply my favorite restaurant on the planet. The food is WONDERFUL and the good folks there treat you like one of the family!

The food was amazing! Mr R had the lamb ragu gnocchi and I had the lasagna - very generous servings so no room for dessert but what we had was amazing. Would happily eat here again.

I chose Floriana as it was advertised as being a nice "romantic" spot for our wedding night dinner. It was disappointing. It was extremely LOUD so loud I couldn't hear our waiter at all. The waiter did not come over to us for at least 5 or so minutes after we sat down. The food was just ok, but overpriced. I had scallops which were not seared quite enough so they were a bit mushy and there was virtually nothing else on the plate. My husband had salmon which he enjoyed but did not rave about either. Overall, I would not recommend for a quiet "date night" and if I returned I would try some of the pastas perhaps but as I said, it was disappointing.
Floriana will always be a favorite when friends come to town — amazing food and I quote “the best pasta I ever had .... I can't live in DC because I would eat here all the time and go broke!”

I hope this was a one time occurrence, but my time at Floriana was not good. My server didn't know we were in her section so we were left alone for 20 minutes before we flagged someone down for assistance. The calamari was undercooked, the shrimp was overcooked, our server after knowing we were her table did not check on us much, and she brought me the wrong drink but was gone for so long I ended up just drinking it and not changing.
