I had the lasagna and it was delicious. Excellent portion size and delicious melty cheese.
We loved it! The food and service were great except the chocolate chip bread pudding was not soaked in milk/egg long enough. It was not good.
Incredible EVERYTHING! Great duck breast, super shrimp pasta! Reasonable prices! It was on the loud side but wow was everything else great. We can't wait to go back!!
Our kids to us to Floriana for belated Mothers Day and Fathers Day dinner. The espresso martinis and chocolate mousse are superb. Excellent bread. The lasagna, short rib ravioli, and the shrimp and scallop risotto were ALL delicious. Caesar salad was good with the hard boiled egg. Service was speedy. We lived in DC when Floriana opened in 1979 but it wasn't on our radar.
First time here and I was in the mood for something with more protein and decided to try their chicken dish. It was literally the best chicken I've ever had in my life! Juicy, bit of crunch from the skin and just downright mouth watering. My husband ordered the Sunday gravy, and my kids ordered the beef tortellini. Everyone loved their meal and there was nothing left over. Highly recommend this restaurant for its cool vibe and amazing food!
Hadn't been in a long time and was a bit disappointed. The "Sunday Gravy" was very difficult to eat from a bowl. The sausage was also difficult to cut. The large noodles are unwieldy to handle from a bowl, and the experience was just unpleasant. The butternut squash ravioli was decent, but the raw walnuts were a real turnoff. These should have been roasted and used sparingly, in smaller pieces. Just when I thought I had them all pushed to the side, I'd take a bite that had another raw walnut stuck to the bottom of my ravioli. Sorry we couldn't report a better food experience.
I thought Floriana was not as good as advertised. The food was good but overpriced. Service was sometimes slow. It's a lovely location and building.
I hate to do this, but this was the worst experience I’ve had in 60 years on this planet. The service was terrible, I imagine because of the kitchen. The food was mediocre at best, I could have had better at Olive Garden.
I hope the team was overwhelmed because of New Years, but they could have adjusted accordingly. Whoever the GM is should really reflect on whether they can do this job.

We got the prix fixe meal. I had scallops and my friend had steak. Tiramisu is delish and very generous portion. Very good.

To start, the environment is really cool as you're dining in an old mansion. It has the old school charm for sure.
The food was delicious. I initially thought the portion sizes were small, but they were surprisingly filling. The filet tortelloni was so unique and rich. We were also happily surprised to find we had visited on half price wine night.
We came for our anniversary, and the hospitality was lovely. We were not rushed at all, and they gave us a tiramisu on the house for our celebration.

Waiter was absolutely fantastic. Wish I could remember his name. Tall guy, shaved head. We were a party of six that doesn't normally get tons of exposure to fine dining. Made us feel welcome and comfortable. Made great recommendations for our main courseand explained the menu well. The food was fantastic, and we plan to return the next time we're visiting the DC area.
Good food, but whilst being very friendly, service was quite chaotic, which is not what we expected from a more upper end joint like Floriana.

Another amazing dining experience at Floriana this past Saturday. The servers were all friendly, as always. The cozy, intimate atmosphere makes it the perfect spot for a date night.

I like various types of pasta served there. And the entire place has "a distinct character". They operate from the old city house and keep the original multi-floor structure practically intact. A nice place for a pre-show dinner in the early evening.
Wheelchair accessibility: Might be difficult to get inside with wheelchair, stairs are everywhere. But they have few tables outside, just at the entrance.
