Great bread and good service!
I just discovered this place after living in DC for 2 years and really happy that I did.

Really like their food and service in other locations but not this one. I entered the store at 10:53 AM and saw a staff member sweeping the floor. He neither greeted me nor asked if I wanted to order. The only thing he mentioned was that I stepped in the dust he kicked up while sweeping. After watching him sweep for three minutes, I asked if he could take my order, but he still didn't respond. Then he started wiping the tables, and only returned behind the display window a few minutes later. However, throughout the entire process, I neither heard running water nor saw him wipe his hands. I am very concerned about this level of hygiene. In short, I would not recommend this store at all.

Absolutely amazing experience! I stopped in on Halloween and ordered a few different baked goods — every single one was fresh, fluffy, and so tasty. They had a fun spin-the-wheel event for Halloween prizes, and I actually won a free baguette! Since I’m not from DC, I passed it along to the lady behind me, and she thanked me and mentioned she comes here all the time — which says a lot about how loved this place is.
The Crogel was to die for. I got the Salmon Lox, and it was perfect — the salmon wasn’t overly salty, just smooth and flavorful.
I’d 100% recommend this bakery to anyone visiting from out of town. I always try to avoid tourist traps, and this was definitely not one of them. Everything felt genuine, welcoming, and made with care. I really hope this bakery keeps thriving — it deserves all the love it gets!

Amazing sandwiches, one of its kind. I had the Norwegian. Small and to the point menu.

Absolutely delicious French bakery. We had a few sandwiches and they were perfect. All the pastries looked 🤩🤩🤩 as well. Had an eclair that was frozen, maybe it had been in the display case too long.

The staff are always rude. There is no ramp to enter with a wheelchair or stroller. And the croque monsieur is horrible, dry, and hard.
Wheelchair accessibility: They don't have it

Phenomenal coffee shop vibe with fresh baked goods that’ll make you think you’re in Paris. Airah makes the shop feel super cozy.
