I absolutely love Indian food, but what I received seemingly has no flavor than any place I’ve ever had. This was my first time trying this place, maybe was an off day cause of the weather but was definitely surprised

G.O.A.T. Room is a warm dimly lit place, with upbeat background music. There is a bar on one side and the restaurant sitting area on the other. Staff is professional and attentive. And a few dishes enjoyed are the Lamb Samosas as appetizers. The Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan, and the Goat meat Korma were the entrees!

All of these were delicious but I’d get the Korma again!

My friends and I had an extremely unpleasant experience at this Indian restaurant today.

Firstly, the bald waiter was rude and dismissive. Despite us calling him multiple times for service, he blatantly ignored us and acted as if he didn’t hear us. Such behavior is completely disrespectful.

Secondly, the extra rice policy at this restaurant is absurdly overpriced and lacks transparency. The waiter served us one large bowl of rice for four people and charged $6 per person, which totaled $24 just for rice. At no point were we informed that the cost would be $6 per person rather than per bowl. I find this pricing both misleading and outrageous. I want to alert other customers about this policy—be cautious and confirm the charges beforehand.

If I discover that other customers are not charged the same $6 per person for extra rice, I reserve the right to take legal action against this restaurant for potential price discrimination.

Lastly, while the owner is kind and friendly, the bald waiter completely ruined our experience. His behavior was unprofessional and unacceptable, and I strongly urge the management to address this issue.

Great overall experience with great staff. While it was busy due to valentine's day, the manager and staff were doing their best to be accommodating. The food was amazing, and their paneer was unique.

When we got sat it took them a while for someone to come to the table, meanwhile the table next to us got water before they even all sat down. It took a while for my drink to come out as well. I asked if they had lamb masala. The server looked at me like I was dumb and said yes, it's in the curry section. They do not taste the same, for anyone that has had the two. My lamb curry was really tough and it took an hr for our food to come out. My fiancé being nice did not send his back but it was truly in edible so I had to. Within 5 min they did bring me back meat that was edible, though not tender. Me & my fiancé ended up sharing mine: It was strange being that we waited an hour for tough meat and got some thing more cooked with 5 min of sending it back. They did offer us a free desert to make up for it, which we refused because we had plans. We also had to ask for the receipt twice and never got it. We ended up going to to the front to pay. Being that it was Valentine's Day, I'm sure they were busy. But when we went to get the bill they were just standing there. Fortunately for them my fiancé is a nice person & tipped them 25% which I don't think they deserved.

I’m very picky about Indian food. Even when a place gets the food right, something always feels missing usually the service. But The GOAT Room in DC was different. The food tasted truly Punjabi, the drinks were amazing, and the customer service was incredible. We’re not easy to impress, but this was a solid 5/5. Everything was on point.

Also try the tandoori wings and the Punjabi dessert. Sooo good!

Stopped in for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. This is definitely the best Indian food I’ve had in D.C! Service was top notch as well. There was a bit of a longer wait for the food, but absolutely worth it!

Exquisite service (thank you Richard) with an incredibly remarkable meal! From the moment we stepped into the restaurant we were mesmerized! Moody vibes, views of the kitchen, hum of the patrons and bustling and attentive staff all added to the experience! We enjoyed vibrant and fresh ingredients and flavors that wowed us!
