Garden District is a solid spot for a relaxed meal or drinks. The food is flavorful and fresh, the cocktails are on point, and the atmosphere is chill and inviting. The staff are friendly and attentive, making it easy to just sit back and enjoy. Definitely a place I’d come back to.

Perfect summer spot on 14th street. Seriously the blt is great. Happy hour (a beer, bourbon and burger) is a must have. Lots of good vibes from the staff too. It gets a little buggy but they have spray.

When I visited this establishment on Pride Saturday, I experienced blatant racial discrimination. Despite being nearly sober and having only had two drinks over several hours, I was rudely told by a bartender named Ben that I was “cut off” after simply asking for a menu. Moments later, I was told I couldn’t even finish the beer I had already paid for.
I was the only Black patron there—and it was painfully clear I was being singled out. A staff member even admitted I didn’t appear intoxicated, but said they couldn’t override Ben’s decision. On a day meant to celebrate inclusivity, this behavior was especially disappointing.
After sharing my experience with friends, several of them revealed they’d had similarly unfair and uncomfortable encounters at this same establishment in the past. That only confirms this isn’t an isolated incident.
Because of Ben’s actions, and the broader pattern of behavior this reflects, I will not be returning—and I urge others to think twice before supporting a place that treats people this way.

I’m usually not one to complain, but I felt this needed to be shared. Unfortunately on Saturday, we experienced what was clearly racial profiling. My friend was denied a beverage as he was “over served before getting here” but he was showing no signs of such. He was not stumbling, slurring his words, misbehaving or being disrespectful in any way. I proceeded to go up to the bar for my own beer and received one with no problems (and I had more to drink than my friend by far). When discussed with the owner James, he admitted that my friend seemed perfectly normal and acknowledged that he was the only person in this establishment who looked like him, but then did nothing to take action to correct the discrimination. Ben was our bartender. Simply disappointing.

i’m fairly positive this is the best place i’ve ever eaten. i’m so sad i didn’t get the girl workings name for this because she was PHENOMENAL, so sweet and amazing at her job. the burger was the best i’ve had in a while omg i will be dreaming about it for eternity. seating was hard to find at prime hours but have no fear after 10 minutes of walking to find a seat the food was still just as good as if it had been fresh. i will be eating here again.
