Recent Reviews

I returned to GCDC after several years and it didn't live up to my memory. The bread, although advertised as sourdough, tasted stale and plain. The ingredients inside the bread were similarly cheap and underwhelming. I remembered this place being much better, but I guess I was a dumb college student. I will endeavor to find melted cheese sandwiches elsewhere.

Great atmosphere and vibe, Roscoe at the counter was super kind, funny and pleasant- really helped my day start off right! While the portions are on the smaller side, it was still a great grilled cheese!!

Phenomenal food. I loved every bite.

S/O to Rosco for his amazing customer service. Goes a long way in the community.

Also located right by the White House avenue if you or your family wants to grab and go to sit and eat lunch in Lafayette Park.
