The food was fair. Greens were to sweet. The stuff shrimp was ok. Macaroni and cheese and potatoes were cold. Food was overpriced. Do not get caught up on inkind app 50 off of meal. The restruant did not honor the discount. I would not go back.

Makayla made our experience a 10! Perfection. Too bad Georgia Browns is charging $16 for a bread basket.

We had a wonderful experience. The manager, as our server, gave us top notch service and ensured that our every need was met. Unfortunately, to our surprise, we were informed that Georgia Browns will be closing its doors after 35 years. Some of the staff had met there, gotten married and raised kids. Thanks for the wonderful memories and I wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

Pleasant experience overall. Service was attentive without being a pest (thank you 🙏). Food was decent but we are not a fan of the mandatory 20% service charge. Kinda the “wet blanket” at the party 😕

Haven't been in a few yrs but excited to visit Georgia Brown's again. Ordered the Fried Chicken Livers as a meal and Fried Chicken. Chicken Livers were RAW on the inside....as soon as I cut one open, raw and blood poured out. Chicken Livers are to be fully COOKED. The waitress quickly took the plate and had them make more. However, the second plate was ONLY deep fried crumbs, no actual meat. Nothing to eat but deep fried breadcrumbs. Not sure what was going on back there, but they failed the Chicken Livers. We didn't have to pay for them, but the manager never came to the table to apologize. The restaurant was very quiet, only a few tables being used at that time. Oh well, guess we won't be back.

Food was very good but happy hour portions are small. Drinks are great Maybe CNN should not be on the TV screen at the bar. Hosts are very accommodating. Indoor and outdoor seating.

The food and drinks were amazing. The Seafood Pasta dish was well seasoned and the lamp chops were moist and delicious. My brother and I loved the all night Thursday happy hour option. So we'll drink to thatđŸ€Ł

From the minute we walked in to Georgia Brown’s, we were met with a warm southern welcome, followed by a unique and savvy interior - reminiscent of a beautiful Savannah Low Country town situated by a beautiful lazy river.

I kid you not, Georgia Brown’s reputation speaks for itself! It is southern hospitality at its finest; both by the inspirations and staple offered on the menu & the warm service we received throughout our dining eperience.

Highlights from our meal included:

- Complimentary cornbread
- Fried Chicken Livers: benne seed, southern slaw, creole corn tartar sauce
- Fried Calamari: hot peppers, lemon tartar sauce
- Whole Red Snapper: grilled, cilantro chilli drizzle, I opted for sautéed brussel sprouts & garlic mashed potatoes (usually served with dirty rice & simple salad)
- Creole Blackened Salmon: spicy roasted fingerlings, sautéed spinach, pineapple butter sauce
- Peach Cobbler: vanilla bean ice cream, caramel sauce

If only I’d know about their jazz brunch every Sunday accompanied with a 6 course brunch option đŸ€€đŸ€€â€Š and bottomless mimosas!!! I guess my only option is to visit again on a Sunday to experience it for myself!!

Let's stop for dinner on our way home from work says my husband. Taking a gamble, we tried Georgia Browns. We attempted to hit this spot up a few weeks back. That day, traffic was horrible so we decided to still in the city, however upon arrival we found out that the restaurant was closed for a private event. Everything was close to perfect. Only a few minutes from the restaurant. I quickly reserved a table via my OpenTable app. Valet parking didn't appear to be open however we found street parking nearby. The weather was phenomenal today so we dined outside, simply beautiful. Ok, so the waiter, Gino, was amazing. He provided us top notch service. The table staff was wonderful as well. Gino was extremely attentive, e.g. answering questions, making recommendations, recognizes when drinks required a refill without us asking, and more. Now to the food ...we kicked it off with the fried green tomatoes. Fried to perfection, a dash of salt and pepper was needed however the flavors, the relish accompaniment, was delicious. Main entrees ...my husband was about to order a house favorite however once Gino raddled off the specials all bets were off, he couldn't resist the bone-in Ribeye. The sides were sweet potatoes and spinach. I was torn between three dishes Gumbo, Shrimp Perleau (sp?) or Shrimp and Grits. Decisions, decisions, decisions...I landed on Gumbo...BINGO. Now listen, I make the best Shrimp and Grits on the block. I also make an amazing Gumbo, from scratch, which is extremely time consuming so I only make it once a year. Next, dessert ...the Sweet Potato Cheesecake, amazing! A little more crust would have hit the spot however it was still amazing. The Peach Cobbler also looked great, maybe next time. Now go and get you some!

I loved it! The food lived up to the hype. I got the Buttermilk Fried Chick dish. Service & atmosphere were amazing.

Disappointed and Underwhelmed – Not the George Brown’s I Used to Love

I’ve been a fan of George Brown’s for years, so it’s really disappointing to say that my most recent visit was incredibly underwhelming. The food had no seasoning or flavor something I’ve never experienced here before. Even the biscuits and cornbread, which used to be warm, delicious, and complimentary, were dry and flavorless this time around and $14 dollars.

When I asked the waiter (who was actually amazing and super attentive) about it, he mentioned they have a new chef, and unfortunately, it shows. There’s been a noticeable decline in the quality and taste of the food since the change. They also don’t allow substitutions for sides anymore, so you’re stuck with what comes with your meal whether you like it or not.

This used to be one of my favorite spots, and I’ve had some amazing meals here in the past. It’s honestly a bummer to see how far things have fallen. I won’t be returning unless they bring in a new chef and get back to doing things the way they used to. I always recommended this place to friends. Unless they bring in a new chef and go back to how they used to do things, I probably won’t be coming back. Really hope they turn things around. I want to love this place again.

Salad had spoiled shrimp in it . The chicken was cooked to hard and dry . The waitress was rude and ruined the whole vibe . We asked for items multiple time and they were never brought or told they didn't have them..for me and my party it was a no . Maybe your experience would be better . Expectation of soul food is food with seasoning and cooked by southern cooks !!!

Dined there during Sunday Brunch. I ordered the brunch; the fruit, veggies, and other sides were good. However, the fish and chicken selections from the buffet tasted "northern" not "southern". The others in my party ordered from the menu and commented that their meals were very good. There's a jazz band during Sunday brunch, which is loud but entertaining. This is a good spot to celebrate your birthday.
