The drinks and food were fine, but wouldn’t return a second time. Ambiance is what you would expect for a nice-ish bar. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Had a great experience at the Gin Joint. With an enormous variety of gins, and characterizations that bedazzled my experience you need a bartender (gintender) that is knowledgeable. Kate the gintender is terrific. She knows and enjoys her gins and enjoys discussing them. On top of that I had a terrific branzino from the restaurant. Excellent with snap peas and a delicious risotto/pesto base. Want to enjoy yourself and learn more about gins--this is the place to go. Located in Woodley Park
Excellent gin menu, knowledgeable bartender named Wu! Great service!
It's small. So know that going there. They have a dining area upstairs. This was a nice time to go. Not many people. And we had the best experience with Melissa. I am a gin drinker and my friends were converted.
Customer service is really horrible. Walked in on 12/23/19 around 7:30, bartender ignored us and had an attitude all night. Plus she was complaining in front of other customers. I can't believe someone like her is allowed to work with the public. Her social skills are awful.
Great place. Knowledgeable bar tender. Excellent place to explore different gins.
Knowledgeable staff. Really appreciate the fire outside! It's cozy inside too.
The bartender Kate is a gin wizard (basically Ginny Weasley) and is incredibly knowledgeable and has good taste. I learn a little more each time. The owner is great. I forgot his name but I will never forget how he went to get us smores when we were sitting around the fire pit. Just go, drink gin, and live your best life.
Great gin inventory. Attentive waitstaff. Close to hotel. Not too loud for conversation. Take a "flight"!
excellent bar tender. delicious homemade tonics.

I am a huge gin lover and had high hopes for this place. Their gin list is really unmatched (see photo for this amazing list). However, the actual drinks and atmosphere don’t really deliver. Bar is very standard, almost a bit dated. They have great bottled tonics, like the go-to Fever Tree, for your tonics. However, they also have “house made” tonics, which is a very deceiving term. They take Canada Dry tonic and mix it with some type of syrup (which they actually do make). It really isn’t very good—I wish I knew this before ordering. I also would love to see more gin cocktails...although I am fine with gin & tonics, as long as they’re great. This place could go from ok to GREAT very quickly, but it just hasn’t yet.
Do not come here if you like good service, or you actually want to get what you order. Also the bartender have no clue what caiprinhas is.......
Great selection of gins and I loved the flavor infused tonics!
