The food here is overpriced and the quality is poor. It’s really a shame. They cut every corner imaginable. Flimsy paper plates and plastic utensils. Rice that tastes like it’s been sitting all day. Noodles that are like overcooked spaghetti. Tiny cups of mango lassi that cost $5. Mandatory 18% tip but you have to order, pick up your food and clear your table yourself.

I wasn’t hungry enough for a full meal so I got the Masala Fries and wound up eating the whole container- they were SO GOOD!

Almost $100 for this tray. I guess overpriced is an understatement :) paper plates, not seasoned well, 3-4 cubes of meat per dish. That should tell you everything you need to know when deciding to visit this place.
Although the person taking our order was clearly Indian, she made rude, prejudiced statements towards Indians. food was very mediocre for the price. The mango lassi was watery, the mango sangria was super dilute, the chat was not at all good. The paani puri and hakka noodles were the only decent thing I tasted.

I read that it was overpriced, but tried out the local spot anyways. Overpriced is putting it lightly. My chicken karahi curry with garlic naan added up to $28 including the auto gratuity, and it was just barely better than a frozen meal from the grocery store. The chickpea portion was a few spoonfuls, and cold. The chicken curry was decent but just a small bowl. The rice looked microwaved but who knows.

Went there after seeing a post on IG. food was tasteless and over priced. Staff was clueless and rude. They charge 18% gratuity on check for both done in and carry out orders. there are much better indian places in DC.

This place is absolutely incredible. I've been to all the big DC Indian places like Rasika and Bombay Club, and the food at Glassey is definitely better. It's no frills counter service, so expect that, but if you want some of the best Indian/Pakistani food im DC, go here.

I believe this place is overated. The food is okay, but small portions and not worth the price. There are many other places with better food and better prices. On top of that, you can not sit down until you order, and you can not eat if you don't leave a tip. I requested to leave the tip after eating, but the young female at the counter said the tip is added automatically, and there is nothing she can do about it. I'm not against tips, but I do believe tips are a gratuity you give for a service provided, which in this case there is no service other than selling food. If they charge tips for selling food, then that is a red flag to not eat there. When the food was ready, they called our name to pick our tray of food served on paper plates. They did not even bother to bring it to our table. We only asked for water to drink, which we never got. There are many other places in DC with a real service.

The chicken karahi was the perfect amount of spicy, lots of flavor with a good kick. A little expensive, and the masala fries were underwhelming (though could have been the sauce). Will come back.

Gol guppa was incredible, the pani was so flavorful and refreshing. Beautiful patio that’s perfect for a summer evening outdoors with loved ones. Wonderful service from all staff, including the owner who made our group feel right at home. Will definitely be back!

Food was generally delicious, yet lacked veggies. We ordered takeout which took about an hour+ to fill. When we picked up the order, the $5 mango lassi was missing. When we came back an hour later to get it, there was no apology and the lady at the bar partially-filled it, in a small cup, and with mostly ice…and it tasted bland.
