I went to this place today with two other people for lunch, and I honestly don’t know how anyone could say anything good about it. The food was overpriced, bland, and completely tasteless. It felt like a total waste of money. If I could give this restaurant zero stars, I would.

The best pupusas in town. The dough has just the right amount of crisp, the cheese is nice and gooey, and the curtido is perfect. The atmosphere is great too, it's a casual, neighborhood place where it's impossible not to relax.

Disappointing experience. Yuca wasn't very flavorful. Staff wasn't very friendly. Got charged for my meal and drink, but also something else, no idea what. Forced tip maybe? Smell of the restaurant was not good.

Delicious bean and cheese pupusas
You know there is an abuela in the back making the pupusas. Didn't appreciate the woman cashing me out to scam with tip amount.
Good pupusas
Wonderful food, very authentic, real home cooking. I wish there was a place like this back home in Germany
you must go

Okay, let me tell you about Gloria's Restaurant! I had the Chicken Quesadilla and Horchata, and seriously, it was amazing. Like, every bite was just right. I know it's a little pricier, but trust me, you won't regret it. The service was super fast, and everyone was so nice. If you want a delicious Hispanic meal in DC, go to Gloria's!

The staff is not friendly. Was told I would be charged for the whole bottle of hot sauce after using it on my food.

I love Gloria’s. I randomly remembered it tonight and wanted to send a message to the owners:
One night I had woken up at 8pm, after months of depression sleeping through daylight in my room. I was incredibly depressed and in a very low point mentally- so I decided to take a walk in the neighborhood and stumbled across Gloria’s shop just GLOWING in the dark lol
I walk in and I felt like crying. The TV was on in Spanish, a bunch of workers laughing and eating together at a table. Gloria was doing something in the corner at her spot. The inside of the shop is all painted with flowers and colors. No it’s not fancy or “professional interior design” and the tables have red and white checker tablecloths but I would never change it. It just reminded me of my home and family in Albania (europe). The family vibe of it all and THEN I ATE THE PUPUSAS and they’re SO good. It was the only thing that made me feel good that week - and I barely had 20 dollars to my name as a college student so you know you can get an affordable meal here at Gloria’s. In DC that really means something because everything feels so “cookie-cutter” and expensive. Community is a rare thing to find now.
I took all my friends here and they all swear by it.
I’m just saying food really heals the soul - and the inside of Gloria’s really does feel like home.

I love this place so much! Been going here with my college friends for almost 10 years. Everyone is so friendly, the vibe is very chill, and the pupusas hit the spot every time! My go to order is 2 revueltos, 1 frijol y queso and a tamarind jarrito.
