Idk… the halal menu is so so. It didn’t really taste that great this time and they don’t have hot sauce or any good dipping sauces… don’t think it’s worth coming back at nearly $70 a person I would expect more premium meats.

Gogi Yogi has a new fan!! Even though we arrived a bit late in the evening, they welcomed us graciously — the staff was friendly, kind, and very accommodating.

We ordered the marinated chicken and it was wonderful — perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor, with a nicely balanced marinade. We also had fried dumplings which came out hot and crispy and paired nicely with the dipping sauce. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying, and the pricing felt completely reasonable for what we got.

I was impressed by the variety of side dishes we got to try. Along with rice, there were some interesting little plates — there was a beet-based dish and a slaw-type side (similar to a jicama or radish-style salad) and a “kimchi”-style pickled vegetable dish, which was fun and tasty. It was nice to have the opportunity to try a few of those different Korean “banchan”-style sides — they added variety and made the meal feel more complete.

The ambiance inside is modern and lively, with classic Korean-BBQ table-top grills, and a comfortable, casual vibe. For the price, service, and overall quality, I’d absolutely go back to explore more of the menu. Gogi Yogi gets a strong recommendation from me for anyone looking for a great Korean BBQ experience in DC.

Everything was awesome! We got the all you can eat Halal option and the food was really good. Service was best part of the night! Lewis A.K.A “All-State” took extremely good care of us. First time dining there but definitely won’t be the last!

Made a reservation via email for a large group (9) for a celebration. I received a confirmation email. Got to the restaurant, and they claimed they did not have a reservation for us. Showed them the confirmation email, and they still wouldn’t seat us. Waited about 20-30 minutes before they told us they could only seat us if we split the group with a large pillar separating us. They also suggested drinks only for them to run out of the drink they offered, and they still charged us for the drink.

Food came cold and generally not great. We Ordered a burger but they were out of buns. We tried to change the order after they offered a substitute to do lettuce instead of a bun, but they wouldn’t let us. The replaced lettuce was terrible and to top it off they didn’t offer a discount at the end, which to me. felt like the right thing to do given the situation. their logic was we had ate the burger already. Go here if you’d like to be disappointed…or frustrated. Or both!

I am giving Gogi Yogi one star purely for the service, which was prompt and friendly. Unfortunately, the positive experience ended there.

The food was an utter disappointment. Across the board, everything was far too salty, making it difficult to taste the actual ingredients. The quality of the Korean BBQ meats was shocking—the beef was chewy, gristly, and filled with unpleasant fat and cartilage. It made the dining experience feel like a chore.
We also ordered a few chicken dishes, and they tasted incredibly poor; the texture and heat spots suggested they had been pre-cooked and then microwaved. It’s simply not the quality you expect from a dedicated BBQ restaurant.

On top of the terrible food, the seating was extremely uncomfortable. As a party of five, we were cramped and the benches made the whole meal difficult to endure.

Overall, it was a genuinely poor experience, driven entirely by the low-quality food and uncomfortable atmosphere. I would not recommend Gogi Yogi and suggest looking elsewhere for authentic, well-prepared Korean BBQ.

The hostess was so nice, we came in with no reservation and they still found us a table in less than a minute! I would definitely come again and recommend to others. Staff was very attentive and had great service as well as delicious food.

Good Korean BBQ. Great selection of meats and the all you can eat in 1hand 30 is a good deal. Meats are first grade with option of halal cuts( at 55 $per person) but you can get ribeye steaks.
Among all the Korean bbq I visit I would say it is a 4 star when combine service, quality of the meat, and service.

My favorite Korean restaurant in town. Portions are fairly sized and cocktails are great, especially the one made with dates. Strongly recommended.
