Golden China Carry-Out is a run-of-the-mill takeout restaurant. My friend and I recently got egg drop soup for takeout and the delivery person had a couple issues dropping off the soup. We did get two free spring rolls with the soup, which weren't noteworthy. The soup itself was decent, although nothing I would get again.

The food in this place is mediocre, bordering on just plain bad. Ordered chicken chow mein to go and when I got home I saw some weird slop. Strictly speaking it was food. I could see chicken, vegetables, etc., but it was in some kind of clear broth with the consistency and color of snot.Maybe mine was just one in a hundred and the food is usually great. I’ll never know because I won’t return.

Quite possibly the worst Chinese carryout I have ever had. They sent me out of there with some nasty, old, mushy, soggy rice with my $15 moogoo gai pan. They knew exactly what they were putting into that container and they did it anyway and sold it to me. Any Asian restaraunt that doesn't even have the decency to serve fresh rice even is extremely low on the scale as far as Chinese takeout. I always wondered why there's no one in ever in there...now I know why. My stomach has been churning ever since I ate the pig slop. Do yourself a favor and stay away. There are plenty of other places better than this in that area.

I received the absolute worst customer service experience today ever in my life. The lady that took my deliver order over the phone was as rude as they come! I asked a simple question and she started to raise her voice at me. I never got out of character with her and then she hung up. I tried calling back a few times only for them not to answer my calls. I patronize on a consistent bases at this establishment. But from this day forward they have lost buisness from me. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN! LEARN HOW TO TREAT PEOPLE ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY SPEND THEIR MONEY WITH YOU!

I just started ordering from here. I try different menu choices to see what is good. The menu prices are different from the online prices. The general tso wings pretty tasty. The egg foo young wasnt too bad. Totally disappointed in the wings n' fries with mumbo sauce. The fries barely cooked properly, no seasoning. The mumbo sauce too thin, wasn't the mumbo sauce I'm use too. The wings were okay, a little small. Because of the quality it wasn't worth the money I paid

I live nearby and when I want an easy dinner, I get their dumplings. As in, just the dumplings. They’re super meaty and doughy and delicious, like how Wok & Roll used to make them. It’s enough food for dinner for me, and I’ll still have some left over when I’m done unless I wanna force myself to finish it and turn myself into a dumpling.I only ever ordered other food (general tso’s I think?) one time, it was fine, but I didn’t love it. Stuck to dumplings from then on out because I just love them.Service has always been quick and professional, and sometimes even friendly lol.

Today I have another installment of D.C.'s worst rated food. Last week this place was rated 2.0 stars on Google. Magically it's now rated 3.5 stars. Yelp puts them at 2.0 too. KNOW what to order from these carryout's!! Trust!!.Where I am: Golden China.Location Reviewed: 1703 6th St., N.W. Washington D.C..Menu Includes:Steak n Cheese, Fried Rice, Fries, Wings, General Tso's Chicken, Beef n Broccoli, Egg Rolls, Lo Mein, Soups, Burgers, & MORE!!.Items Reviewed:Their Shrimp Egg Roll (With cabbage, sprouts, shrimp, & Duck sauce $3.30). DECENT. A standard egg roll from a Carryout. Greasy, but...edible while hot.Their Shrimp Fried Rice (with sprouts, soy sauce, & onions $9.10). DECENT. I had to add soy sauce to flavor this, but again...it's edible. At least the shrimp were deveined.Their Half n Half (Half lemonade, & ice tea $3). DECENT. Sugary, but cold...not a drink for diabetics!!Their 4 Wings & French Fries (with salt, pepper, ketchup, Mumbo sauce, & hot sauce*One word in DC* on the fries, & just Mumbo sauce on the wings $10.15). DELICIOUS!The wings weren't HUGE (which is indicative of them being genetically modified), and just doused in the mumbo sauce...tasty!! But I may be bias in this, because this meal is nostalgic for me.The Fries...DELICIOUS! This is how I've gotten my fries from carryout's sine I was 12!! Sweet, spicy...eat these IMMEDIATELY, they'll get soggy quick!!.Customer Service: I was greeted, and they even said "Thank You" when I left!! But Customer Service doesn't stop there for me. Cleanliness is a huge part of it. This place wasn't invited, or clean..Online Navigation: They are online. They deliver too..Parking: Rough.Recommendations: If you go...get what I got verbatim. A 2.0 Star rating sounds about right!!.Music: YouTube: YouTube-Backyard Band 4/12/015 Stars=STAMP4 1/2 Stars=LIKE THAT4 Stars=DELICIOUS3 Stars=DECENT 2 Stars=PASS1 Star=NAH#Bigschlimsreviews

Restaurant constantly gets orders wrong --- even when you call in advance to confirm if items are available. Food quality is zero. Do yourself a favor and don't order from here!

I saw the middling reviews and had hesitations, but I was hungry at 10pm walking home from the metro. Stopped by and ordered a 2 spring roll snack, thinking they surely can't mess it up. And, indeed, it was great! There were three spring rolls, and for less than I expected. Affordable and convenient!

Called to order for a 61 y/o homeless woman at a shelter. They hung up while she was trying to order....called back several times and the person responsible for taking the order was basically yelling at the homeless woman, who was simply trying to place an order, which resulted in them hanging up again. While I know that some homeless people can be demanding because of their circumstances.....this was not the case at all. They are a high volume business with low quality food and the workers lack communication skills or empathy for the community that they serve. They should be closed. The food according to the majority of the reviews is trash, and while some of the reviews compliment the food.....it appears that there is an inconsistency in the food as well. I am half Asian and to see how they operate is completely unacceptable. Someone, anyone....please send the health inspectors.

The chicken nuggets are just microwaved McDonald's nuggets. Pretty sure that's illegal. They never get an order right. Wanted white rice and they gave me vegetable fried rice that smells awful.

I had stop buying food from this location because the lomaine wasn't mixed well. When I got to the middle of the container the noodles were still white and cold. ? I stayed away for about a year and recently bought some general tos chicken. OMG! It tastes like the refrigerator. The sauce was only on the top the chicken and I couldn't separate the meat. It was one big blob of nasty tastings Chinese food. It went straight in the trash. ?
