The vibe and the view are excellent. Our waiter Jasper was way above average. We had Grilled Octopus and Wagyu Meatballs as starters, Crispy Skin Salmon, Ribeye, Tofu Fried Rice and Filet Mignon as main courses. Every option including drinks, bread and dessert were just delicious.

Take into consideration that the 20% service fee is not a tip. So, if you want to leave a 25% tip, you will pay almost 50% more.

Food was great, but definitely not worth $260 for only 2 people. Way too overpriced. We had to wait more than 15 minutes to even get our menus after sitting down, and after finishing eating, we also sat with empty plates for more than 20 minutes waiting for our server to take our check and card. Disappointed with how long we had to wait both before and after our meals and hoped to enjoy HK much more than we actually did.

What an terrible experience. We had a party of 7 for lunch, two meals came out 25 minutes in advance of all the others. The waiter and manager found it appropriate to only comp us a glass of wine. A 20% tip was baked into the bill of nearly $500. We will never visit another HK restaurant again.

We had a reservation for our anniversary. Food was good but in my opinion, overrated. The service was great. The restaurant was beautiful. We had an issue with the enforced 20% service fee we were charged without them communicating it to us prior. That is separate to the tip. Regardless of what is happening, guest should not be forced to pay Gordon Ramsay’s employees fairly. He can afford to pay them a fair and livable wage. Would not recommend and will not be going back.

Let me tell you, I NEVER write reviews so this is rare for me, but I just had to to protect people from coming here :(
Save your hundreds for someplace better.

First, the silverware placement is a bit odd, I'm not sure why they place the forks and knifes directly on the table, not on the linen, it feels a bit gross to me but I can get over that that's okay
Mostly just wanted to talk about the food here. Food wasn't that good.
We got the dinner prix menu and the ribeye.
The sticky toffee cake was the best - tasted amazing
The beef Wellington was okay, the beef part itself wasn't that great/well seasoned. It was tough to eat. I couldn't chew some parts - wasn't soft at all.

The ribeye especially was horrible because for a 90$ 12oz ribeye I expect it to at least be the temp I want it to be :( I asked for medium rare they gave me a medium well - basically almost cooked all the way through - it wasnt a good steak either - like it tasted good - quality of it though? Bad - you can just tell it's not a high quality steak.

Overall, for a 500$ meal I expected more :/
I thought I was going to get fine dining but honestly that's on me for not researching it more. Overall just felt very gimmicky/tacky.

We came for lunch for 2 on a Saturday. Our reservation was for 12:30PM but we waited about 10 minutes to get a table—not bad given how busy it was. Once we actually sat down, it took 20 minutes to get our appetizer, and another 30 for the entrees. Service was abysmally slow (almost 1 hour total to get our entree), though I appreciated the manager explaining to each table why there was a delay.

All dine-in seating is on the 2nd floor. There are around 3-4 flights of steps at the main entrance (which is on the 1st/ground floor) to get upstairs. They also have elevators behind the main staircase for those who need it. There is plenty of lobby seats if you have to wait for a table and a bar on the 1st floor also.

In terms of attire/dress code for lunch, we wore smart casual and felt we fit in fine. I would say, you can wear whatever you want; you’ll definitely fit in wearing business/smart casual, but you won’t be denied entry for wearing shorts and a T-shirt since we saw some wearing more casual wear. Don’t wear a suit and tie or a fancy ballgown though.

We shared an appetizer, a drink, and each got an entree. Our total, after tip, was $150 per person. The bill includes a 20% service fee, which they do NOT consider as a tip. There’s a fine print at the bottom of one of the menu pages stating, “20% service charge is included. 16% is distributed directly to service workers on top of their base wage, 4% is distributed to contribute to our staff benefits. This fee is not a tip. If you would like to tip your server, we welcome you doing so.”
I thought it was a bit cheap to include such a hefty service charge yet not include it as a tip. At least some of it goes to the staff but I believe the company should be contributing to their staff’s benefits, not passing on that expense/extra charge to customers.

For the drink, we got the Lychee Cooler mocktail. It tasted okay, but not out of this world. It’s hard to even recall the taste a few days later so it’s not memorable.

We shared a Lobster Risotto. It tasted good and we did not think it was overly seasoned or lobster-flavored, though the temperature of the dish was almost cold as if it had been sitting out. For $40, we were expecting more risotto, granted fine dining does typically have smaller portions.

I ordered the Full-sized (6oz) Beef Wellington. The lunch menu lists the petite version (3oz) but they do offer the full-sized version (6oz) for lunch too. The Wellington is pre-cut with a side of potato purée and literally 5 pieces of vegetables. I was looking forward to this dish, however, I’m sad to say it did not live up to my expectations. Like the appetizer, it was cold, as if it were sitting out.
Starting with the Wellington, the meat was cooked to perfection. It’s served medium rare, which I prefer, but the meat seemed to melt in my mouth and I really did not have to chew much at all. There was a thin layer of the minced mushroom and pastry. There’s a red-wine demi-glace sauce to pair with the Wellington, which I thought was actually too bitter for my taste. I wish there was more mushroom or pastry to balance out the meat.
For the potato, let me preface that I absolutely love potatoes—mashed potatoes, baked potatoes, fried potatoes. I’m always looking forward to dishes that have potato. Well, the potato purée in this dish is probably one of the worst mashed/puréed potatoes I’ve ever had. Look, I get it, the secret to creamy, delicious potatoes is butter. But eating this potato purée was the same as eating a stick of cold unsalted butter. I’m not sure what exactly happened—if the butter was not mixed well with the potatoes, or if it separated, or if it was leftovers from the night before, or if it just wasn’t served fast enough and got too cold—but it totally ruined the dish.

Overall, unfortunately, I would not recommend coming here unless you really want to experience it. For a $300 price tag, you get slow service, s

Service was excellent, from check-in to seating to serving. Food tasted good. I would just be aware that if you're looking for huge portions for your entree, this is not the place for you. For budgeting purposes, remember there is a 20% service, then another 20% for tip.

If you're planning to celebrate a special occasion in your life, this is not the right place to go to.
Very bad service, extremely loud music, very hot by the kitchen that is inches far from toilet 🚻 .

Hell's Kitchen: A Restaurant that lives up to its name

Dining at Hell's Kitchen was supposed to be a special evening, but it was like eating in hell. We were first sat right across from the kitchen, which is arguably a good spot to see the "show", but it was hot, loud, and situated right in front of the bathroom. When the waiter came, I asked if we can move to a different seat. She said, "sure".

The hostess wasn't as cordial. The hostess came to our table and said that there wasn't another seat, although we reserved our visit far in advance. My partner told the hostess that our seat was right under a speaker and it was too loud. The hostess lied and said that all the seats were just as loud. After some stern words, we were allowed to move seats. Against my better judgement, we didn't leave the restaurant.

It was so bad it was laughable. We were asked what water we want: sparkling, still, or tap. We said still. The waiter came back, "we don't have still, only," now he changed his verbiage, "filtered tap water". We asked if we could combine the scallops with another dish, the waiter said we couldn't, as if customization and upcharges dont exist. We were never asked about our dietary restrictions. And, well I could keep listing events, but if you've read this far you already get the point.

They say, never meet your heros. You let me down Gordan.

Dietary restrictions: My party does have dietary restrictions, but we were never asked.

We visited the Wharf, Washington DC. As a special occasion on spring break, I treated my kids. Two adults and 4 kids. We were greeted nicely and given a roomy table upstairs. I think my issue is with the service. Our server, Devin made us feel insignificant. My daughter had a lot of questions about the way her meal would be presented. She is a picky eater and was really trying to be adventurous, but Devin seemed to finish her sentences and rushed through how he wanted to have her order the meal. The water glasses were never refilled and none of us had ice cold water. I wanted just a little butter, but since he never came to check on us, I was never able to ask about butter. Our wine glasses were removed from the table, I presume because we had kids, but I would have ordered a glass of wine to enjoy with the scallops. Again, has I been asked or checked on I would have. Devin spent a lot of time at the table next to ours, which was a table of 6 adults. Chatting away. The restaurant was not busy as it was 8:30pm on Sunday night. When he came by for dessert, and this really made me annoyed...I didn't really want to order dessert. But he literally talked about the desserts, my son interrupted with a question, he walked away to chat with the next table for ten minutes before coming back to finally finish taking the dessert order. Honestly, I was annoyed at that point. I felt it was rude to walk away from us like that. I didn't want dessert, I wanted to leave. He just made us feel we weren't valued or as a guest. I have had more attentive service at Chipotle. Overall the food was excellent, maybe a "table of kids" isn't exciting to that server, but I hope he learns to treat young people like the interesting and valuable people they are.

Kid-friendliness: Not really

Way too expensive. Go to Del Mar for better, more, and less expensive. Beef Wellington great, prix fix could use more variety, branzino tasted like something I made one time where I put too much store bought pesto. Overall let down, can’t say I’d go again at that price.

Overrated and Just “Ok”

I had high hopes for Hell’s Kitchen, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. I ordered the 20oz prime rib, which was undeniably huge and came with a generous portion of tomatoes and mushrooms. While the presentation was impressive, the taste was just okay—nothing extraordinary. Tried all of the sides: Mac n cheese, potato puree, scallop potatoes, Brussels sprouts and … elotes. Nothing fancy and all dishes I can make at home.

The lemon blueberry cheesecake was extra tart with loads of lemon sauce.

For a restaurant with such a big reputation, I expected more. The prices are steep, and the quality doesn’t match the cost. Overall, it wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t memorable either. Disappointed and unlikely to return. Save your money for a place that delivers on flavor and value.

The place is beautiful and the food was ok, not excellent. The desserts were average. The worst was the 20% service fee charge of $54 added to bill , not a tip charge, added to help with base pay of staff and their benefits. Plus another $28 for taxes which made my bill for two people three course meal $341 or so. Crazy !! Can’t do that again.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing, and having seats overlooking the water was so nice. The drinks were amazing I was shocked how delicious they were while also leaving you tipsy. The scallops were by far my favorite dish. The Beef Wellington is iconic so I had to try it the meat was delicious. I came here because I am a fan of the show so it’s nice to eat and feel it in real life. The sticky toffee pudding was also very yummy, very sweet though. I also got a side of potatoes gratin and the Mac and cheese both were okay, kinda small for the price. Be ready to spend a good amount of money on dinner but I think it’s worth it for the experience and food.

Food was great but we waited for 2 hours and didn't receive our meal. Multiple apologies but the main course was very slow to get out. Also, I ordered a Bone In Ribeye and I received a Bnls Ribeye.
