If you're looking for bland, breaded and deep fried American Chinese food, go elsewhere. If you're seeking delicious, spicy Sichuan, then Great Wall is your spot. Mapo tofu, Sichuan green beans, eggplant are all great. I'll miss this place when is closes in December.

Not great. But large portions. But the prices are also in the 16 buck range so… rice was not work eating. The cucumber salad was just dressed in hot oil and not authentic (but they did just call it “ma la” and not smashed cucumber salad), and the Singapore noodles had canned mushrooms. But it also had three kinds of meats. Very fast service.

If you are looking for authentic well cooked Schizwan food this is definitely not a good choice.I have never left a restaurant review but the food here was so bad I felt morally obliged to share my experience.Sadly the food doesn’t meet a 1 star.I have been living in Asia for 14years, I know authentic Chinese cuisine, I have eaten Schizwan dishes in the UK, Europe and Australia and this was the worst! All my orders were Schizwan dishes; what I received was inedible, from the soup noodles to the aubergine dish which was excessively sweet, no Schizwan pepper spice, bland on bland is a generous assessment of the food but truthfully it was rancid!

Our favorite Chinese carryout in DC. A cut above the rest, and the Szechuan food is off the map good.

Food took 45-50 mins to prep, which was frustrating because they repeatedly said it would be 15 mins. When it arrived the egg roll was not cooked on the inside and only partially fried on the outside. The Szechuan beef and the Szechuan pork noodle won ton app were both just… blah. Was craving a spicy Szechuan style meal and was sorely disappointed. Don’t waste your time.

Solid spot for Chinese food takeout! Dining in is closed. FAST service and tasty. The egg rolls, YUM. Crab Rangoon was a bit onion heavy for my taste. Sesame chicken YUM! Shrimp lo mein… oh my gosh, SO good! If you’re in between rice and noodle, do the noodles!!!!!

Wow. I don’t know if it was just a bad night or what, but the food tasted like rancid oil. I have NEVER seen my husband not be able to finish a bite in our 26 years together until he tried a dumpling from here. Everything that was fried in oil was inedible. I hope that this was just a bad night, but we won’t ever return. I don’t like leaving poor reviews, but this was just too awful.

Best mala Chinese in the city, bar none! Extremely good flavor and reasonable price. Eggplant is exceptionally good.

This is a nearly twenty-year institution in DC known for its spicy dishes and hearty portions of Chinese American comfort food. The owners are lovely people! ❤️

Crab Rangoon was marvelous. A bit over cooked but still delicious. I got the beef and broccoli and fried rice. Really fresh, well made, and the taste was great!

Worst food ever. I wasted $32.00. And they had the audacity to automatically add a tip. Tasteless food. Just garbage. Will not eat here again.

I’m no connoisseur of authentic Chinese/Sichuan cuisine but I have eaten a lot of American Chinese food over the years, and this place is fantastic. Generous portions, everything is well seasoned and spiced, and the food has always been ready for pickup on time, even with a $200 order. Just feels and tastes like better quality than your average takeout.

We’ve been ordering take-out here for years and have never been disappointed. Fantastic food, lovely service, and a short wait! Anxiously waiting for the dining room to open because the food is even better fresh!

One of the best Chinese places in the city. I'll get takeout from them sometimes even though there are 30 places closer to me.
