After searching for this place...it is now called Moonlight DC.Opens at 8Only rated 1 star because not updated and I was very confused lol
The Live Jazz music is really good, food was OK but long wait time because they're busy and customer in and out the whole time which is not bad. I really enjoy the music and you can support the band by tip in cash, Venmo and Paypal.

Awesome place for live jazz!
I will say I love that they have live jazz in the city. Jazz is honestly best experienced in person. The band was great and the bartender was super friendly. Now logistically the place is a bit confusing. There are no signs saying green island cafe outside so kind of have to just know it’s there. And I thought maybe there was a name change but the menus inside said green island cafe. But finding places on 18th is a challenge for everyone.Drinks were good but I don’t think they sell food. Or at least they didn’t yesterday. There is a $10 minimum per person

I love this place, it’s such a lovely, relaxed jazz club! It’s now been renamed to “Moonlight,” for the record.Thursday-Sunday, Peter Edelman hosts a jam session from 8PM, and it is such a nice atmosphere. It’s very “come and go,” with guests arriving throughout the evening. It has a nice casual vibe, and is a good place that somehow is focused on the music, but is also good for socializing and talking. It has pretty good acoustics! Always great to tip the band and encourage more live jazz! The bartenders are really nice, and I look forward to chatting with them when I go in!

Absolutely love this place. Live jazz almost every night with no cover. I'm no musician, but I listen to a fair amount of jazz and this is definitely the real deal. The band just cooks. All of them are fantastic musicians. Great vibes all around, friendly service, fair prices. Haven't tried the food yet but will do so soon.PLEASE support this place. It is unlike any place around and deserves to thrive. You will NOT be sorry you spent a night here.
Cute little jazz bar. Definitely worth visiting.
Excellent jazz band plays most nights here, along with guests. Fabulous vibe in one of the old school jazz bars… don’t miss it.

Great music and feel. This is a true DC jazz club and underappreciated. Nowhere else can you get live music every week like this.
Great food. The employees were all friendly and polite.

The successor to the mythical Columbia Station. I don't know if it's true but every time I've gone there was quality live music. The best thing is that there are not many people and you can enjoy live music in a very intimate environment.
