I have dined at Taco City many times and always have a great experience. Food is amazing and ready fast enough to eat on a quick lunch break. Whether it’s take out or dine in it’s amazing but dine in will always be my favorite. The service is top tier it’s a family owned restaurant and you can tell they care! Atmosphere is cute love the decor. Happy hour deals are amazing. Will always be my go to lunch spot and love showing it to friends and family as well as telling my clients from the salon to try it too!

Me and my mom went in to try their tacos for the first time. We see that it is only one worker but seems that she barely wanted to greet us. However, she had seated another party who came in briefly before us. I attempted to catch her attention and she constantly told me to hold on, which didn’t bother me much because she was serving a large party. When she finally got to us, the waitress immediately informed us that they were only accepting card and not cash. However, my mom had cash and we attempted to place an order. She heads to the back and steady peaking out, clearly sees us standing there and never came back out but to only serve the seated guest. We ended up leaving as it seems she never wanted to serve us in the first place. Not a good first impression. Not to mention that we are African American and majority of the other guest are White. That says alot within itself

As a gal who’s never actually tried a taco before, I know crazy, I had the pollo and chorizo tacos and let me tell you they have some spectacular chorizo. Cooked to perfection, amazing flavor, and good portion sizes. I’m not the biggest fan of the cream sauce on the pollo tacos but otherwise 10/10. Plus the mint limeade really hit the spot. Will definitely be coming back!

Stopped in for lunch and got the 3 tacos ? for $15. I had the mushroom, chicken, and braised beef tacos. My favorite was the braised beef! The strawberry limeade and salsa w/chips were solid as well. Next time, I'll try the queso.

Super disappointed i was excited to try the food. Three tacos for $20 is expensive especially when it doesn't come with rice or anything. I bought them against better judgement. BAD idea they were well presented but tasted horrible not seasoned at all. The only thing I could taste was pico de Gallo. As far as tacos I would say try next door to them cause taco citys tacos are not good!

Loved this little bar. The drinks were fantastic and if I were to compare the food with the seamingly crowded next door I’d say the food and drinks are a lot better

I recently tried Taco City DC, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. Maybe it was just an off night, but everything tasted bland, unremarkable, and definitely not worth the price. The chips seemed like they were a day or two old, lacking any of the crunch and freshness you’d expect. I ordered the crab quesadilla, which was almost flavorless, and the $14 guacamole had visible brown spots, making it unappetizing. It was the mushy liquidy kind, not the chunky kind. I han hate the liquidy kind. Bleh. They doused it with tomatoes and cogito cheese which didn’t help it at all. The Mexican black beans were another disappointment—al dente to the point that it seemed like they hadn’t been cooked long enough.

The restaurant was super empty when I arrived, so I thought I’d be getting freshly made food, but that just wasn’t the case. On a positive note, the pick-up process was seamless, and the staff was friendly. However, the food really needs some help to match the price point and the menu’s promise. Right now, it’s just not delivering in terms of taste or quality. I hope they can improve, but based on this experience, I wouldn’t be rushing back anytime soon.
