Ya know.... EVERYTHING was great. The bartender was amazing (read: excellent drinks), the food was tasty and innovative, and the service was great. Highlights include the Last Word and NY Minute cocktails; lamb hummus; and the Spanish Benedict. Just when I thought the Mediterranean scene in DC had been overdone, I (finally!) what to Gypsy Kitchen. Will def go again.

The food was delicious and the drinks were unique. The pork belly was my favorite, so tender and well flavored. I'll definitely be back to try more of their small plates!

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, with great flavors and quality that truly stood out. The prices were very reasonable, offering excellent value for the quality of the dishes. The service was fantastic—our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. The host was incredibly kind and accommodating, going out of their way to ensure we were comfortable, even making space for our stroller without any hassle. Overall, it was a great dining experience with amazing food, fair pricing, and exceptional service. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming and enjoyable place to eat!

A very nice place to dine except for the pulsating, uninteresting, loud drum-heavy noise (not music).

For such a neat-looking menu, and as expensive as everything was, I was very surprised by how under-seasoned most of the small plates were (croquettas, zeytoon, papatas bravas). The pork belly was okay, but the cuts were inconsistent (either fully fat, or super dry/lean), the mushrooms al ajillo were okay, but there was hardly any garlic. Kaftas were okay, but super charred (way more than necessary) and a bit under seasoned as well. Service was very good though.

My friends and I had a wonderful experience! We got five small plates for three of us to share and it was a perfect amount of food. Our waiter was excellent, and everything tasted amazing. We'll be back!

We were warmly greeted and sat at our table right away. Then were presented with 2 glasses of prosecco to celebrate our anniversary. Dillion was are server and was so helpful with the menu. We enjoyed a cheese plate, crispy cauliflower, hummus nil lahme and flan. Plenty of food for 2 to share. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent! Thank you and we will be back!

I have walked by this place for years and thought, "Golly, I should try that place.". Then i never did, until today. Gypsy Kitchen: you won't find a better priced value and food quality in town for Sunday brunch. Now that Brookland's Finest is long gone, I thought it wasn't possible to find a brunch location you could actually get into and not lose your paycheck and still get good, rock solid food. This is that hidden Sunday brunch gem, and it's smack dab right in the middle of the hot 14th Street strip! It is terrific because our server was top notch, the food he recommended was superior to comparable in town here, and that upstairs outdoor deck on a gorgeous spring Sunday was not impossible to get a great table, nor was it pretentious. My friend had a Bloody Mary and the Spanish Benedict and she just loved the quality and healthy Putin of greens that evened it out. I had the kefte burger with insane tomato jam and wrote was it flavourful. Run, don't walk. Everything is closing in D.C. thanks to the massive lay offs at the U.S. govt. Don't let this great joint slip from our collective fingertips.

The food was just ok. The grilled octopus was rubber. The table next to us sent theirs back. I think they are trying to do too much with the food, the hummus was drowned in balsamic. Service was good. Overall just an ok meal.

Sixth time coming, always great food and service. It's such a great place for a larger group because you want to try everything, servers have always taken my questions about the menu to heart- never have I felt they were just trying to sell me something. Cocktails are also incredible, and our server let us taste a unique Greek wine that we ended up getting a bottle of. Once again, so much fun and so delicious

We would say that maybe this restaurant is having some growing pains and needs to get it together. One of the dishes we ordered said it was vegan but came covered in feta cheese and when we asked about it our waiter insisted that it was vegetarian. I had to actually physically show her the menu where it said vegan. And anyone who came to drop food off at our table practically threw the food on the table. It was so ridiculous. We just started laughing about it after it happened a third time.Nothing really tasted outstanding but it sure is a cute place.

The food was amazing, the ambience amazing. Very reasonable prices for what you got. Our server was so helpful (I wish I could remember her name, but I know she is graduating from college soon-Yay!) I wish there was a Gypsy Kitchen by us!

I had an amazing dining experience at this Mediterranean gem! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm and attentive without being overbearing. The staff really made us feel welcome and took the time to explain the menu and offer great recommendations. The food was absolutely fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The hummus was creamy and rich, the octopus definitely is the best. The ambiance was relaxed yet elegant, making it a great spot for both casual dinners and special occasions. If you're looking for a place with top-notch Mediterranean cuisine and excellent service, this is it. Highly recommend!

Had to wait 45 minutes to be seated, despite having a reservation. No communication from staff, just “wait at the bar and you'll get a text.”

Everything about our dinner was fantastic. We had a little bit of a wait, but the staff were informative on status. Appetizers were great with the shrimp croquettes being the surprise. Service was very attentive and there when we needed something. Highly recommend a stop by the gypsy kitchen.
