Sad to hear this place is closed down. Me & my close friend would go here every Sunday for ramen. This is one of our favorite places and I love everything on the menu. Hopefully I can find another Ramen place that’s up to par especially their sesame ice cream :( Thank you for such a beautiful restaurant. Sad to see it gone.
I cannot believe this place is closing. I’ve been coming here since they opened up and now I am coming on their last day. There is no other ramen that taste like this, I’m on my way there right now for the steak lol. How could you do this to us 😟
Margaritas was good and bartender offered great service. Great atmosphere.
Their fish bao was kinda interesting. However as a picky ramen eater I can only give their Ramen 3 stars (I was not impressed by Daikaya’s ramen many years ago and it looks like Haikan is still pretty much the same). Stock was plain and overly salty, you can’t really taste the umami-ness from the clam. I added one star from service’s and drinks. Otherwise ramen was mediocre, you’ll have better experience from ordering Ippudo or other famous brands’ fast ramen.
This place is always busy and the food is amazing. They're only closing because they don't want to pay their staff. Greedy owners. They blame the closure on prop 82.
From the moment you walk in, you can tell this place takes their craft seriously. We ordered the Salmon bowl & spicy Shoyu Ramen. The broth is incredibly rich, silky and savory with tender handmade noodles that feel almost weightless on the tongue. Each sip is a bright, umami- Packed, and beautifully balanced. This Ramen shop is a must -Visit I’ll absolutely be back.
Thank you chef!
Haikan has been a favorite for years! Ramen is so good, forgot to take a pic. The noodles are probably egg based but the best!! The broth is not too thick and the flavor is amazing. We ordered the spicy shoyu recently and so, delicious! We loved the cucumbers that came with the salmon donburi… so many flavors possibly wasabi, too!? If your diet allows crab Rangoon, don’t pass it up! Also, the music was a good vibe!
Janet was EXCELLENT. Food was delicious. Order was accurate. Ready to order again already.
Disappointing experience! I usually eat a ramen. I ordered the veggie donbori this time. Nothing spectacular at all. In addition to this, the wrong starter was given to us. Thankfully, I did not eat it as it was chicken and I'm vegetarian. The staff apologized quickly. Not impressed by the service :(
Delicious food, but definitely busy! Good idea to book ahead and keep track of the time you spend eating. We weren't thrown out or anything, but I was told when I got there that there was another reservation after me.
Their reservation mistake caused a rushed service. We felt pressured to hurry up and eat because they needed the table. Despite the delicious food and perfect ambiance, I can't give this experience a five-star rating.

Good moderately-priced place with basic decor. Great happy hour, esp. for bites at the bar only. And they support community activities.
Took a while to get our table. Ramen was very salty. The fish bao was pretty good, but had very little fish. The apps all came out at different times, which was awkward
We ordered the Ramen option that was on the "Special" menu. It included Red Snapper and it was delicious.
Delicious, reasonably priced selections in a space with a good vibe. Service was excellent.
