The only thing accurate is the name Half Way. Cause everything was done almost well. Normally, I love places like this. Nothing was normal about it. Pass on the jerk chicken, also pass on the fried porkchop and pass on the veggie stir-fry.

Terrible service every time I'm there. It takes forever for them to get you anything, even just a menu or a water. They don't have chunks of the menu every time. And the food is super bland and mushy for Jamaican food (trust me, I both cook and eat a lot of it).
I used to joke about Jamaican spots with a friend, saying the ruder the service the better the food. But this completely throws that hypothesis out the window. They must only stay in business because of the clientele moving into luxury apartments on that block and think this food is 'exotic' and 'spicy'.

My coworkers and I ordered three salmon dinners: two with cabbage and macaroni and cheese, and one with cabbage and collard greens. Unfortunately, the portions for the side dishes were incredibly small, and the overall quality of the food was deeply disappointing. The macaroni and cheese was dry, the cabbage and collard greens lacked flavor, and even the salmon was bland. I will never order from this place again. As someone who appreciates good food and is quick to give credit where it’s due, this was an absolute waste of both money and time.

Normally this place would get 5 stars from me because the taste of the breakfast is really good. But I’ve noticed that they never bring all of the food you order. Like literally never. I order from here 3 times a week and have for months. I need the cooks and the expo to read the tickets and get it right. People spend hard earned money for their food. And should receive it all!

The entire dish was probably the most flavorless Jamaican food I've ever had, which was very surprising. It arrived cold, but I blame Uber for that. The chicken and the rice and peas were very dry. The "cabbage" had more carrots in it than actual carrots. Very disappointing and wouldn't order from here again.
Very disappointed in the portion. Literally one scoop of rice. Got macaroni and cheese and the portion was terribly small too. Also ONE piece of fried chicken. For the price isn’t worth it.

I had a very wonderful experience the vibes are wonderful with the restaurant operating inside of the historic Florida Avenue Grill. The food is absolutely top notch i give it a 7/5 stars come alone or bring friends no matter what your in for a treat. 😉
