I’ve been coming to hawk and dove since 2018. My experience today was unique in the sense that their management had no clue what they were doing. Menu is terrible now, service nonexistent .. they will cease to exist 6 months from now. Good riddance.

I had a Smashburger, which was absolutely amazing, but I also tried a crapcake sandwich that was just okay. On top of that, the place was freezing, like it had no heating at all, which wasn't great since it's winter.

Christine was absolutely the best—warm, attentive, and on top of everything even in a packed game-day crowd. The entire staff matched her energy with outstanding service, constant smiles, and a true sense of hospitality.
The atmosphere was electric… a sea of orange and blue, great food, great drinks, and even better fellowship. It felt less like a bar and more like being surrounded by old friends. The camaraderie and spirit made the Iron Bowl atmosphere unforgettable.
If you want a place with amazing energy, great service, delicious food, and the best Auburn family vibe in the DC Capitol Hill area , then the Hawk and Dove is the place to be. Already looking forward to the next game!

Jessica Rabbit, is the best bartender I have had make me drinks. I don't normally drink cocktails because of the inconsistencies of bartenders making drinks. However Jessica is the reason I continue to patronize hawk n dove. Wherever she goes, I will follow.

Christine assisted me throughout the evening, she was absolutely FANTASTIC. Very attentive, personable, and knowledgeable. She gave stellar recommendations as it was our first time dining here. From the specials to accommodating my request for nachos “my way” (chips and cheese lol). She was great. Thank you Christine! Can’t wait to visit again :) btw, the Pumpkin Espresso Martini and the Bartender Creation drinks were OUTSTANDING!

Went in for lunch. A slower day. Restaurant filled as we ate. Service was good, but slow. Could have been an off scheduling day. From where we sat only two ran the front kitchen. Our table was in the dining room, though a neat bar area sat above the main floor. Seems like a spot which can make a memorable happy hour or late night stop in. Found the price to be on the higher side for what was received.

A lovely experience for once I decided to have dinner solo. The welcome was warm, and the dishes I ordered were delicious (though I’d vote for a little less salt). I had the pleasure of going upstairs afterward for the karaoke session and never felt excluded at any moment. I truly enjoyed it.
