Enjoyed a dinner out with wife. Great food
Mostly elevated bar food. The server said they were changing the menu and were out of the chicken entree my wife wanted. I had the crab flat bread, and my wife ordered the steak stroganoff. Again, the server told my wife they didn't have stroganoff noodles but were making it with elbow macaroni. The entrees were both tasty. They have a decent happy hour menu. I'd probably return.
I expected so so food but it was really great! They made my salmon sandwhich just the wayi like it! So much so that i ate more than i usually do. Very attentive; customer oriented. Had a yummy apple cider drink too! Will def go again!
Mediocre food at “pretty good food” prices.
Love this place, a Capitol Hill treasure!
Great hangout near the Capitol. Food and drinks were both good and served in a fun atmosphere.
Great place for happy hour. Didn’t have any food, but bar service was efficient.
The salad and grouper sandwich were tasty but did they run out of cheese or forget to put any in the Mac and cheese? No current cocktail menu. Is an espresso martini and a Black Russian the same? Out of desserts on menu. Waiter friendly but totally overwhelmed . Bartender was doubling as a server.
They were out of a ton of stuff on the menu. Will not recommend this restaurant. The fact they say it business casual dress, is not true. It is really casual dress for sure.
Happy hour mini crab cakes were awesome!!!

I had the burger and fries--both very good. I was disappointed with the cocktail offerings, however. Their cocktail menu was from last fall (I visited in May) and many of the drinks weren't even available. More disappointing was that they didn't have Fever Tree or an equivalent tonic water--just the crappy stuff they piped in. So I ended up with wine, which was fine but wasn't what I wanted.
Went on a recommendation from a friend and was sad I'd taken her advice. Food was average in general, though a couple standouts (the split chicken and asparagus, the burger). The service was horrible, sadly, despite how nice the servers were. It took over an hour and three follow ups for two meals to come out. It took 20 minutes to get a last round of draft beers. It was a real disappointment unfortunately. Hopefully it was just the result of several staff members calling in, but if they had been communicated maybe it would have set our expectations better or at least made it seem less like no one cared.
My guest from Australia LOVED this place. She tried a crabcake for the first time. The ambiance and decor were just what she wanted from a "Washington restaurant." We had a great time, and our server was just the right amount of attentive. Would go there again, and Highly Recommend.
I came here with a friend for a dinner and left sorely disappointed. The waiter was inattentive, forgot to bring out drinks, food, and when he finally brought out the food we ordered, it was burnt and barely a portion that you'd even see on a kid's menu. The sauce we ordered came 20 minutes after we got our food, and the drinks we ordered never came. When I finally had the chance to complain, I was told the "general manager" was in a meeting--at 9pm on a Saturday night. Despite asking to speak with them and saying I was willing to wait, I was soon turned away and told that the manager approved a five dollar "courtesy fee". It's pathetic this supposed manager--apparently new--didn't have the guts to speak to a paying customer. Will never go back!!!
It took 30 mins for our order of pancakes for the kids. The side salad looked old and not edible. We sent back the salad but only 1 of 3 people who ordered the same dish got the fresher salad. We spoke to her manager who removed the kids orders but not happy with our experience. We are never going back again. The restaurant was empty at 11:30 on a Saturday and was not properly staffed.
