Me and my coworkers went to get the shutdown deals because we are federal workers and they told us they stopped the shutdown deals...even though it was still on their social media so that was disappointing.
Everything in this restaurant was on POINT.
After a LONG day advocating on the Hill this place was a great place to sit down, recap on great moments, team bond and enjoy a great meal and drink! ❤️ 100/10 recommend and I WILL be back the next time I’m on Capital Hill! 🥳

Booked a 6pm dinner reservation only to find out upon arrival that they close at 7pm. (On a Sunday) Ridiculous prices for add-ons (lettuce, tomatoes, onions....) replaced fries with a caesar salad which was also extra$ and it was lousy brown pieces of romaine chunks. Would never return here.
We found Hawk ‘n Dove on Google Maps at the end of a day full of walking, museums and sightseeing. So glad we stopped in.
Great food, atmosphere and music. We heard several songs including some Kings of Leon, Sublime, Incubus and
Edwin, our server, was friendly and helpful with the menu. It was relatively slow as could be expected since it was a Monday during the shutdown.
We had drinks and spilt two meals; the Hot Honey Pepperoni & Sausage Pinsa and the Spicy Pickle Brine Fried Chicken Sandwich (long name with even longer flavor. lol).

Came in for football, pub grub & wasn’t disappointed. They couldn’t televised my team as the Commanders was playing on the same network but Jessica was kind enough to find a channel that was televising NFL highlights. All in all was satisfied except for the football game but had a great time nonetheless.

Our 1st trip to DC and we stopped in here for dinner. Edwin V was PHENOMENAL! Such a great server! The crab dip was delicious! We had burgers & chicken....all of it was amazing.

Much less than what I expected. The menu is very limited. The service was not good. It took forever to get our food even though we only ordered apps. Very loud!
Restaurantji Recommends
the food was mediocre (the fries were better than the sandwich :/). the meat was a little cold, the bread was stiff, and the sauce was very watery. the fries were much fresher than the sandwich. the meal left A LOT to be desired.
the service was slow despite the restaurant not being very busy at the time. i sat for a long time waiting for the waiter, and i got my entree before my drink.
speaking of service: my waiter smelled sweaty and his acne (red and flaky) was really hard to look at and almost made me lose my appetite. i saw another waiter who kept touching around his mouth and nose, and even coughed UNCOVERED on a menu. the workers here really need to focus on hygiene (presentation and washed hands).
regarding atmosphere, it's casual.
i wouldn't recommend.

Great place to go on a date. Loved it and there was great service. Also, they serve an excellent burger.
Recent menu change was not an improvement!! The small number of customers suggests that word of this change has gotten around
It was fine but overrated
