This was my first time going to Hawthorne and I love the ambience when I first went in. Even though there was not a lot of people the vibe was just right and the music selection was amazing.

I hosted a semi-private event for about 20 people this past Friday night. They said that if I brought a group of people who would buy drinks, they would give us 2 hours of an area on the rooftop. It was a great experience overall. The staff, drinks, and atmosphere was fantastic! I will gladly recommend this place to anyone looking to host any type of event like I did.

Ambience was great. Management and the bartenders were great! Everyone was was helpful and provided great service. The food was delicious with a group of 7 we all ordered and tasted different dishes and everything was good.

I love Hawthorne especially the roof! This is my favorite place in DC and I had my birthday party here. The drinks, food, and music were amazing. All of my friends really enjoyed it too so I totally recommend checking out Hawthorne whether you host a party or just wanna stop by with friends!

After researching around DC for a place to host my birthday event, I came across Hawthorne and never looked back! Their team reached back out to my quickly and provided me with all the details I needed to consider but it was a no brainer. I was able to reserve their 3rd floor space for my 40+ guests with no fee or minimum! Another huge plus was that on Saturdays afternoons, they offer happy hour deals for food and drink as well as a DJ on the floor! Come day of, the manager and staff there were so helpful and friendly. All of my friends raved about how much fun they had and it was truly a memorable experience! Highly recommend for anyone to celebrate their events at Hawthorne if you have a large party!

From the delicious food, timely staff service, and accommodations from their booking manager before our visit I highly recommend having your event here! Service horrible everyone walking around mad the manger useless food was cold we sent the food back for it never to come back out because the manger forgot to ring it in we got bottomless for them to Time it and bring 2 pitchers at time for a group of 10 ?

Will definately do more events here in the future. I was told happy birthday by the workers there and felt like family. Great service!

I hosted my 35th birthday at Hawthorne and it was such a great experience! The staff is great. Everyone was so kind and helpful. EVERYONE. From their event coordinator that helped me leading up to the event, to the on-site management, to the bartenders to the security. They all were so nice. The DJ was really good and our bartender was nice. He made great food recommendations. (The chicken tenders are FIRE) He also had no complaints making drinks he never made before, he googled the ingredients and they came out so good. I would highly recommend Hawthorne.

I held my birthday here this weekend and had the BEST time! The Hawthorne hosted me and 30 of my friends for free in a nicely roped off area complete with a “Happy Birthday” sign and access to a private area and bar. This was a great way to celebrate with a large party and we didn’t have to pay for a reservation. I highly recommended !
We had a great time at Hawthorne! It's pretty loud in there so if you want somewhere with a quieter ambiance I would suggest checking out somewhere else, but we loved it!! The workers were so kind and the service was awesome for bottomless brunch.

I celebrated my 23rd birthday at Hawthorne and it was a great time. I initially wanted to celebrate up on the rooftop and coordinated with Megan, to ensure a spot. However, there were two other parties going on at the same time and I felt like it would be overcrowded with my group amongst all of the people who was already there. The bartender, Emily, and manager on duty were so kind and quick on their feet and accommodated my party on the third floor that was initially closed. I appreciate their willingness to help me celebrate my birthday the way I intended. Great vibes, great DJ, great mimosas, and a great time!
