Excellent food with many options to choose between. Ambience and service was top quality Slightly pricey
DELICIOUS that's what you need to know first. We just happened to dine while the live music was happening & it was insanely loud. I'm assuming on evenings when live music isn't happening is much more intimate. That being said, the band “Too Much Talent” was very good! The restaurant is beautiful & very comfortable with elegant decor. We had a reservation. Because of the loud music we asked to be seated as far away as possible so we could still talk without shouting. It took a few minutes mutes to be seated but the hostess did her best to seat us so we'd have a little quieter space. We waited several minutes for our server to greet us. She was very friendly & apologetic about the wait. We got the impression the were short staffed. We weren't in any hurry so we were okay with waiting. We ordered the half chicken dinner with collards & loaded baked potato. We also ordered the skillet cornbread. Everything we ate was sublimely delicious. Very generous portions & cooked to perfection. We shared everything & still walked out with full bellies & a second meal for later. Our only complaint was not getting our waters refilled but the server was so busy we didn't want to bother her. Otherwise was a fantastic dinner date. Staff is very friendly. I'm shocked it wasn't packed. Very good restaurant!
Leo was our server and he was super sweet and very attentive to our table. My friend and I partaked in the Friendsgiving event and it was definitely worth every penny. I got the unlimited crab legs and she ordered the wings, the crab legs were good, I didn't care for the cornbread (odd combo in my opinion), and my friend got the wings. If you don't like spicy do not order the phoenix wings, beyond spicy. I ordered a loaded baked potato and it was dry and I could tell it was baked a while ago...probably wouldn't order that again. I do want to return for their traditional menu and definitely try their brunch. The location is fantastic

My friends took me to Hen Quarter’s brunch for my birthday. It was a top tier experience! The food was great, especially since I’m a seafood lover; the drinks were bottomless and delicious; and the service was 10 out of 10. Tondelayo took great care of us and even sang me happy birthday at the end of our meal. I will definitely be going back and letting my friends know to hit this spot up immediately.

A co-worker recommended the Sunday brunch at this restaurant so I was anxious to try it. My expectations were extremely high because my co-worker knows that we generally dine at restaurants whose food is better or at least meets our home standards; unfortunately this place did not meet up to our standards or my expectations. The experience overall was just okay for my husband and I. The quality & value of the food offered, in my opinion, did not justify the cost (we've spent more for less food but better quality, so it's not about the money). Perhaps their justification of cost is due to the generous seafood cold bar (crab legs, shrimp etc), however, the value of the crab legs specifically were not worth the cost; we've had better from the grocery store. French toast had to be ordered thru the server and although it tasted good, it came out barely warm and tough around the edges. The carved beef was tough/chewy and the “gumbo” was more like a soup (not bad) but should NOT be called gumbo. The GOOD: Collard greens were decent, grits & fried chicken were delicious and our server was amazing. WE will likely NOT return, but I would say to others to try it for yourself; your experience may be different.
I was looking forward to dining at this establishment as one of my close friends had previously dined there and raved about it. My friends and I decided to celebrate my birthday there two weeks ago on a Friday night, the 17th to be exact! Upon arrival with one of my friends we tried to find seating for 3 at the bar but had no luck as the 3 seats available had not been bussed and was still full of dirty dishes etc. The hostess then sat us in a relatively nice area. About 10 minutes later our server Cornell came to the table, we informed him that we were expecting 1 more diner and he left. No water poured no drink order taken. The third member of our party arrived about 10 minutes after that. We sat for an additional 10-12 minutes waiting for Cornell to return to the table. We ordered our drinks and informed him that we were there to celebrate my birthday, which he didn’t even acknowledge! We proceeded to order our food which took a while to come as the table that came in after us was given their food before us. There was someone there selling and engraving bottles which we weren’t even made aware of by Cornell but from a passing guest that was speaking to a separate table. It wasn’t made aware to us by Cornell until the last 5 minutes of the person being there. His words were “ oh he’s leaving now but you can still buy a bottle just not get it engraved.” Which to me was very disappointing as we had wanted to get a bottle engraved to commemorate the occasion. He barely came by after our food was brought out to check on us to see if we needed anything else. The table next to us had to flag him a few times as they wanted more drinks. After he was done getting their second round of drink orders we put in a ours also. I pointed to the drink my friend had on the table even saying the name of it while requesting, he said ok! He came back not 2 minutes later and asked if that was the drink I wanted despite writing it down. On the whole the food was decent the atmosphere was enjoyable but the service or lack there of given by Cornell was abysmal putting it nicely. As someone who works in the industry I try to give breaks and credit where they are due but in this instance that is not the case. He did not follow the steps of service, I didn’t even find out his name until it was time to pay the bill and that was because I had to ask him, I thought the tip had to be included in the meal because of his lackluster and apathetic service standards and sadly I was wrong.

The food is remarkable. I’ve visited this establishment twice in one week because of the ambience, good food &, so I thought good service. However that was not the case when some friends & I paid a visit on a Friday night two weeks ago. We were there celebrating a friend’s birthday, which was mentioned to our server after being seated, however his birthday was not acknowledged which was extremely upsetting for our friend. I met up with my guests about 20 min after they were seated, no orders had been taken, no drinks nor water were waiting on the table. We were finally greeted by our server about 10 min after I had arrived, only to be left waiting an additional 10 min before our orders were finally taken. It was steady for a Friday night, however not overwhelmingly busy. The table beside us had yet to be bussed, with used dishes, utensils as well as glasses in sight sitting on the table as we tired to enjoy our meal well. The table to our right, were seated after us, but was served their dinner & drinks before us. It was highly disappointing and underwhelming not being acknowledged by our server, Cornell whom waited on us that night especially after it was made clear that our visit was to celebrate a dear friend’s milestone birthday. The experience was less than enjoyable that night due to the slow & lackluster service.

I felt like some food options from the buffet were missing from previous times, however ray our server was great and the omelet was amazing!
Hello the hostess who greated us was not friendly and doe $70 I expected a little more from him then what he gave us . Our server was great and even accommodating when we asked to move inside due to bugs.
I went for the brunch and was very impressed. I definitely will be back to try the dinner menu. Love the location, the decor, the ambiance. Ray was our server and he was great.
They have the best fried chicken. Not something I'd normally order at a restaurant but I can't resist theirs.
Absolutely loved the brunch here this past Saturday. Arrived at 12:50pm, our reservation were at 1:15pm. My party of 3 were immediately seated. The food was really good, the waffles were delicious and made to order, the atmosphere was very chill. There weren't too many people at all! The play list that played over the PA was a whole vibe! I will definitely be back!!
