I stopped in to grab a bite and two women hurried and stepped in front of me blocking me from entering then proceeded to tell me that I can’t bring my dog in. I then let them know that he is a service dog in which she said that she can’t let him in I proceeded to tell her that she can get sued for discrimination for that and that’s when she let me past. At that point I was very uncomfortable and so I left; upon leaving I asked a male (which I will attach pictures of) was he the owner and he was really sarcastic and said “for this conversation I will be I already know about the service dog”. I let him know that I would prefer to speak to the owner because I don’t like how I’m being treated then told me that the owner wouldn’t want to speak to me. After the whole ordeal a different woman came out and had great service but by then I was frustrated, embarrassed, disappointed, and did not want to support this business. I do wish that I would have got her name though. I live in the neighborhood and this was my first time trying and I won’t ever be back. I have this incident on video as well!

I got their exactly 950pm and the bartender and waitress were very friendly and nice , the kitchen was just about or closing but rather than say sorry it’s too late they checked with the kitchen and they made us the 3 best burgers and fries , it was all delicious . We got double burgers and fries and honestly the price to me like any other good burgers but these were better was reasonable, the quality was good . We’ll be back for sure , compliments to the chef .
I came to visit family in Washington DC and have eaten here before; it was sightly overpriced but it was good. I discovered that they have a pastrami sandwich so I was pumped to go. Got there at 5:15 and was told at least an hour wait. Okay no problem. 5:35, get notification that there is a table for us but no more pastrami sandwiches. What? I cancel my reso. You know pastrami sandwiches are going to be popular since it’s only one day a week but you run out by 5:30? What! The burgers are good but not that good. Won’t be going back. Plenty of good burgers spots in DC.

Came here for the Shababi DC by Chef Marcel pop-up and everything was fantastic. The atmosphere was so chill and easy, the staff were fantastic- shout out to Kendrick for being a fantastic waiter and telling us about half off burger Tuesdays! The food was delicious and we literally ordered everything off the menu. The egg sandwich was imo perfect and had potatoes and sweet peppers, the lamb breakfast Sammy was a huge fan favorite, the halawa cinnamon bum was ooey gooey and delicious, the Philo dough apple was ok, and the drinks were on point! Def go check out Hill East burger and the pop up on the weekend, well worth it!!
