The drinks were very watered down without the ice.

The food is not as tasty as it used to be. On Friday, July 4, 2025, I went to their carryout on Benning Rd NE DC. I ordered one piece whiting/fries and three wings/fries. I ate some of the fish and fries and immediately got sick from food poisoning. I didn't touch the wings. I called the carryout and told them what I was experiencing, the guy remembered me, quoted what I had paid said a few words in Spanish and hung up on me. DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET FOOD POISONING 🤬😵‍💫🤒

There was a BUG FRIED WITH MY CAT FISH NUGGETS !!!! DO NOT EAT HERE !!!!!!!

They arrived at 10:02AM and wasn’t prepared to cook until 30 minutes later when I try to place an order at 10:09

I’m a frequent customer. The chicken is good. The signature seasoning, “Crack” is what the world calls it, is what makes the food so good. I let my son try it for the first time and he loves it! Definitely one of my go to spots when I don’t feel like cooking or I need to feed my family right quick! The prices are reasonable compared to others! Only bad experience I had was that I ordered two chicken specials and got home, it was only one. I thought it was all in one box, but It wasn’t! I still haven’t been compensated. I enjoy eating there nonetheless!

I did UBER EATS this evening. This IS NOT the regular HHF&C off the Uber Eats app I have patron in the past. They gave me old, dark and very hard chicken.. My order was delivered at 930p, as expected but this old hard ass chicken was UNEXPECTED! Just know, you pay more on Uber Eats for the service but even at regular price, this shouldn't have been served to anyone. It's like they gave me all the chicken that wasn't picked up the night before and refried it. Yall see these old ass fries too right? Ok.. I also had mushrooms ?. Those were actually good. Right is right but I didn't pay +$30 for fried mushrooms.

The greens needed prayer. I'll stop while I'm ahead because the overall experience was so bad, I'm up drinking water because it's too late for me to eat. My friend ate half her food because she was hungry from traveling. But she couldn't chew the food because it got rubbery after a few bites...

Also, last thing. I order a piece of fish and that was fresh and good. So maybe they should just be HHF & no chicken.

It was ok for the most part. However, the chicken wings have gotten a lot smaller for some reason. Makes me wonder, are they chicken wings. In any case, the food hit the spot for a quick bite to keep me going throughout the day. I wish they had a restroom.

The only problem I have is when I order Cheddar Cheese Jalapeno Poppers I get all the way home and I have Cream Cheese Jalapeno Poppers ?.. Super frustrating

Ordered a 10 piece wing on UberEats and they sent 10 of the smallest wings I’ve ever seen. Ordered for the family and we had to end up getting something else to eat for dinner because it was basically just chicken skin and bone.

I'm not a big catfish fan, so I tried the perch (so good!), whiting (ok, not much flavor) and chicken tenders (good value). Delivery came with hot sauce, tartar sauce and bbq. I was surprised at no ketchup because they give you a ton of fries. Tbh the fries are seasoned very tasty, and good even without ketchup. A+.
