Been to the Philly store & knew it was going to be delicious. Small dining room that was packed on a Sat night. Vegan chicken sandwiches are some of the best in the country. Wish the spicy chicken was spicier! Sauce selection is ace. Highly recommend the ranch & HipCity sauce. Best item is the onion rings! Also very good vegan shakes & house drinks. Thanks, HipCity!

Got the cheesesteak and what a disappointment. The bun is pretty awful white bread and the cheese is very greasy and heavy. Don't know what made me order it. I felt pretty sick for a couple of days fro mall the grease. No thanks.

I tried the crab cake salad… which is crab cake over Cole slaw. I requested arugula lettuce added as a BED OF LETTUCE. The communication barrier is INSANE. English is understood until you ask for something. The cashier never said hello, she just stood there until I said hello how’s your day, may I order. I received my salad drowned in slaw dressing with the arugula tossed with the slaw. My crab cake was so overly cooked it was crispy…more crunchier than the Asian chips garnishing the salad. The Food taste like a mouth full of WHY IS THE COOK BACK THERE!!! I’m so disgusted and disappointed~~ the building is beyond cold… not a germ or human will make it out alive or thawed. Pun intended. Gotta make some light of a heavy situation. I’m still hungry. The wait time was so long that I went next door for a drink at the bar.
I took the dish home thinking I could add more greens to cut the slaw dressing overload and it just turned into a huge MESS. There’s half dollar size chunks of cabbage as “slaw”. This is a disgrace to veganism. Menu should state cabbage chips so people like ME know what type of chewing battle we are up against.

Seamless execution of a vegan fast food restaurant - went in and it was just like being in a burger king or a Wendy's except all vegan. Food was exactly as advertised and hit the spot.

Hip City Veg never disappoints. Truly a fast food vegan spot. I went there with my non vegan friend and she loved it as well! A place definitely worth checking out whether you're vegan or not. They also have milkshakes!

The staff is nice. The Real Deal Veggie Burger is very tasty. The sweet potato fries aren't impressive. They're usually pretty limp, yet there are always a few very hard fries in the bag that were fried too long. The Not-So-Crabby sandwich was terrible. I took two bites and couldn't finish it. It was soggy and there was way too much remoulade and vegan cheese. However, some of their seasonal shakes were fantastic. I went to Hip City Veg several times a week in March for the mint matcha madness shake. The caramel apple and pumpkin pie shakes are also phenomenal. The birthday cake shake was disappointing and I'm not interesting in trying the other flavors.
