I am really not one to write reviews but this is the best fast food style vegan place I have been to in DC. The food is consistently good and Woyni treats every costumer with the utmost care. Even on busy days and with lines I have seen her smile and remember people’s names after a their second return and I was one of them.

Sahad (I think that’s how you spell his name), was an absolute gem. He really brought back the authenticity in customer service. He is the general manager. I ordered something online and my toddler was sleeping soundly In the car. I called and asked if my order was ready. He said yes. Then I was so hesitant to ask for a silly favor, but I did. I asked if I could please have someone bring it out to my car like a curbside pick up situation. Sahad didn’t even let me finish my question. He said absolutely and brought it out within a couple minutes. 🥺 it really meant a lot to me as a mother. Thank you for being so kind, I realllyyy appreciated it!!

Stopped by twice recently, and both times featured really delicious vegan food.
Only drawback is how slow the service was - the workers were obviously overwhelmed with online orders, lots of people standing around waiting, had to wait about 20 minutes for my food after ordering.
Worth it tho if you have time to wait a bit!

Food was awesome. If you are strict vegetarian (lacto-vegan) like me and in DC then you should visit this place. Food server and cashier woyni exhibited very friendly demeanor towards us and other customers. She made sure that food was prepared as per our spice level.

You don’t really get much veggie restaurants, so this was a good chance for me and my family to try some new stuff. I ordered the basic B and some chik’n nuggets, and I was very impressed with the quality. This place may be small,but it does have an ordering computer, which most small restaurants don’t have. The only downside is that it isn’t that kid friendly but I enjoyed it and I’m 11. All in all, HipCityVeg is an awesome place.
We ate in for a late lunch, and had a wonderful meal. We both got chick’n sandwiches, but the burgers looked excellent too!

This place was recommended by our bartender at the Arlo DC hotel. Wow. It was amazing. My husband got the #10 Philly cheesesteak and I got the #2 crispy classic. I don't like onions and the Philly was still incredible. Both are amazing!!!!

My flight getting into town was super delayed; it was late and I was starving! I can never resist a meatball sub, and it was delicious. Also ordered the green smoothie to have for the morning, and it perfect thing to bring to work bc I had to be up early and didn’t want to have to worry about breakfast. So good!!
