Kira Alexander was so amazing and I had the best experience ever! The service and food was top notch.

This is a restaurant inside the Generator DC. I felt so bad because it was 7 PM and there was only one bartender making drinks and was also taking the food orders. But the food was bland and overpriced. Even on Taco Tuesday, it’s FIVE DOLLARS for one taco. And they take 18% gratuity on all orders so no additional tip is needed. If you’re staying at the Generator, you’re better off going down the street to eat food.

I came here with a group and had an AMAZING experience! Not only were the food and drinks incredible, but the service was super fast and attentive, plus atmosphere was top notch. HUGE shout out to our server Khalid, bartender Consita, and manager Clark who had such great vibes!

The food and drink quality at this place are top tier. Tequila selection and flights among the best I’ve seen, and I’m a tequila snob. BUT, the people running the place don’t seem to realize they are in the hospitality business.
Not quite like the soup guy in Seinfeld but same vibe. I literally was told I couldn’t sit at the bar while the place was all but empty. Two visits and the last one I just walked out after being refused a bar seat.

The service experience was disappointing. I had a few interactions with staff that came off as rude or dismissive. Most notably, it wasn’t disclosed anywhere at the bar (where you order and pay before sitting down) that an 18% gratuity is automatically included. Because of this, I tipped twice on several occasions.
During one visit, after I’d already paid (with two tips), I asked for a small refill of the 2–3 oz salsa that came with my meal. I was told there was an extra charge, which I understood — but I politely asked if one of the tips I’d already left could cover it, as I didn’t know I left two. The bartender responded with a sarcastic, passive-aggressive question and facial expression that made the moment awkward and left me feeling uncomfortable, like I was doing something wrong for even asking for a refill of this thimble of salsa. It’s also in a hostel- so many who stay here are dollar-conscious.
It also felt odd to be expected to tip before receiving any service, especially when drinks like margaritas are pre-mixed and there’s little interaction afterward.
Still, the food is what keeps this place afloat. I truly wish I could leave a separate 10/10 just for the cooks — they’re doing amazing work and deserve every bit of praise.

The food was average, overpriced for what it was. The server spilled my drink, and did not bring a replacement, even though I asked and she said she would. Automatic 18% tip for average food and service. Won’t eat here again.

Pikio Taco is hidden through Generator Hotel reception desk although definitely worth a visit. I’ve got a burrito bowl , super good, very well served, in a chill, cool, relaxed and nice atmosphere. Not many people enter to check it out.
Outstanding decor. Good staff. Food good but a bit salty. Perfect chips. Set back from the street. Safe setting ensconced beyond hotel lobby.
Great service, great food, and the atmosphere is out of this world.
Pikio Taco in Washington DC is a must-visit for food lovers! The Mexican Cheeseburgers are a standout, perfectly blending juicy beef with zesty toppings that create an explosion of flavor. Each bite is a delicious fusion of classic and Mexican cuisine. The well-stocked bar complements the menu beautifully, offering a fantastic selection of cocktails and craft beers. The lively ambiance and attentive service make it an ideal spot for a fun night out with friends or family!

The meats here are really stellar. And salsas. Ordering is a little weird, and the atmosphere is quiet. But it makes for good catch ups! Drinks are hotel bar prices. We heard there’s a salsa night with a class at the start!
Food was decent, service needs to communicate better, but everyone was pleasant. Ordered via counter service and they were out of the first thing we asked for, no biggie I picked something else. I was the second person in my party of 5 to order, yet my meal was somehow forgotten and I didn't receive it until after almost everyone at my table had finished theirs and folks at tables who ordered after us got their meals.
Great food.
The greatest chopped salad in the uS. Beautiful decoration. The greatest-greatest music.
Vegetarian options: Chopped salad is extremely delicious. i saw others take grilled vegetable and rice. They have in the morning great vegan sausage so perhaps included in dinner.

Horrible service! I will never eat here again. Also, the manager was not very accommodating during a very bad experience.
