Whatever you do, do not get the raw oysters. Very bland and tasteless like they were old. I am obsessed with oysters. These were the worst oysters I’ve had in my entire life. Get something else.

The portion of food is great but the boils are extremely salty to the point where I can literally feel my blood pressure spiking. There could be more broth as there’s never enough which may be the reason it’s so salty. It’s almost like the seasoning is thrown on top of the seafood before the bag is tied, instead of cooking in it. I usually order seasoned garlic butter and I just taste salt. I always get my food delivered so I can’t comment on the service or atmosphere.

Customer service very nice young ladies helping but drinks took a while to be served, margaritas were awful tasted just like tequila with water, need a better bartender or check his mix bottles before starting his shift. Clam chowder soup was cold and taste like those canned soups,

I went on a Saturday to get some Blue crabs They were good . the service was not. The karaoke was fun. The Korean lady couldn't speak English well and didn't check in to see if we needed anything . When we ask another young lady.. she act like she had a attitude but she did help us... So I take my family back that Monday because the crabs was good and we got the lady who had an attitude again.. I don't know if it's a.lack of servers or she just got bad vibes. Even on your worst day smile at least... fake to you make it.. I'm not sure I will be back.. I have to think on that

I’m deeply disappointed with the way my friend was treated at Hook & Reel DC during what should’ve been a joyful karaoke celebration for her birthday. She brought about 40 guests to support the event, and in the final moments of the night, her food was mistakenly thrown away by the bussers—while she was still eating it.

When she addressed it with our server and then with management, not only did they refuse to remake her food, they claimed she had eaten “more than half” and told her she’d need to pay again or be banned from the restaurant.

To make matters worse, the General Manager Kimmy was on-site, and when asked for her business card, she refused and instead coldly handed over a generic info email. She was rude, dismissive, and showed zero compassion for the birthday girl, despite this being a mistake made by her own staff.

The lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic courtesy was stunning—especially considering the large group that came to celebrate and support this business. None of us will be returning, and we encourage others to think twice before supporting a place that refuses to take responsibility for their errors or treat guests with dignity.
