Beautiful Event space

I went to the pancake and booze art show to support my oldest daughter's display of artwork.
I wasn't feeling the best and couldn't really enjoy it much but it had games and seating towards the back where her setup was located.

The place is just fun, big space inside, a great outdoor area, and the whole vibe is really laid-back. Drinks are good, food is better than you’d expect. It’s one of those spots where you come in thinking you’ll stay for a little bit but end up hanging around way longer.
Only con is the parking, not the easiest around here.

After COVID lockdowns (in 2021 or 2022), Hook Hall hosted a health clinic allowing restaurant workers to get free Covid vaccines. It really helped me feel safer as a restaurant server during very uncertain times. Thank you!

**Fantastic Experience!**
This venue truly delivers an incredible atmosphere, making for an unforgettable night. There are two outdoor vendors offering delicious food options and two open bars to keep the good vibes going. **A word of advice: bring cash.** Our bill for five drinks came to $300, which stung a little, but the phenomenal ambiance made it more palatable.

I honestly have nothing negative to say about this place—just be prepared to enjoy yourself! **Bring your wallets and soak in the experience.** If you need a break from dancing, indoor seating is available, providing a perfect spot for us ladies in heels to rest our feet.

The DJs bring **1,000% energy**, keeping the crowd engaged all night. If you’re planning a visit, I highly recommend going on the first Sunday of the month at 2 PM for Amapiano, running until August.

**One small request for fellow guests:** Ladies, please be mindful and clean up after yourselves. This establishment is well-maintained, and it’s only fair we leave it just as beautiful as we found it.

Noisy, very noisy, and LOUD.
The food was very meh. Fun game for teens.

Incredible disrespectful staff that does not care for the safety of participants. I watched a girl waiting in line fall and hit their head and the staff did not care,

Update: they refunded the booking fee. Still waiting for amex to fight the food fee. I recommend clarifying the inclement weather policy if you are booking an event.

USE EXTREME CAUTION BEFORE BOOKING AN EVENT HERE! I paid over $600 to book 2 cabanas and food for my birthday party. I chose the location because of the beautiful outdoor garden with the option to move inside in the event of inclement weather. They had me sign a contract which contained no information about weather or food orders. The night before the event, I received a call from a woman stating that the weather was not looking good and the inside was not available because it had been booked out for a private event. I asked whether the cabanas were covered/weatherproof and her response was “they do have a roof and curtains, but there are cracks and holes so you will likely get wet if it rains.” I explained that I had guests traveling from out of town and that rescheduling the event was not an option. Her next best solution was to offer me a spot at their sister location which is a glorified pickleball court—not really the vibe I was going for on my 30th birthday. After receiving this phone call, I frantically called various other venues to try to find another solution. When I called her back a couple of hours later to let her know that I would like to cancel with a full refund, she stated that she would refund the booking fee, but would not refund the food since it was already “prepped.” I ordered wings, nachos, pretzels, and pizzas. Not sure how those items require such advanced prepping. I explained that I was extremely frustrated because they should have called me as soon as they knew that there would not be an alternate option for inclement weather. I would have never booked if I knew that it had the potential to be completely rained out. This was such a stressful and mortifying situation. I will be calling daily until a more acceptable solution is reached. I have also opened a dispute case with my credit card company. Very unprofessional way to treat guests who have prepaid large sums of money.
On another note, if you are looking to host an event, I highly recommend reaching out to Allie at the Liberty Tavern and Dre at Hyde Social. They were absolutely incredible and offered to waive all fees for me after hearing about what Hook Hall had done.

We reserved 2 Cabanas for a large group so we could get table service for food and drinks. When we arrived we were told food was not available despite having a menu on their website and that we would need to order from the bar. We were told we’d have to either order door dash or leave to get food nearby, so we ended up leaving to get food elsewhere. The manager told me I could email them for a refund, but they do not respond. We used to come here regularly but won’t be coming back.

I like this place generally, but the staff is a little odd and can be less than courteous. But they throw great events!

I’m not really sure how this place has high reviews. We came here this past weekend as it was nice outside and wanted a few beers and food. There was a total of 4 of us. When we arrived the outside was pretty empty. Some people
Seated on the couches but that was prwttt much it. An event was going on inside and sounded fun. Well we walk up to the bar outside grab beers and go to place food order when they inform us that they do not sell food on the premise. Found this odd since their menu had a whole food section and even on their site. The bartender said you can Uber eats food. So we did. As the early afternoon went on, place got full and then somewhat emptied again. We sat at the high tops by the entrance because we were informed that the middle section of the couches were reserved for an event. We were there for 3 hours, nobody ever sat there. Eventually we started to see the high chairs being collected, we assumed they remove them to then be standing only. We had one extra chair with our bags as we were waiting on a person to arrive. Until someone came and said we need this chair as we do not have enough for the event inside….. not sure how that works. We left and went across to Midlands
