My wife and I dined for Valentine's Day and had an AMAZING dinner. When I closed my eyes while enjoying dinner, I was transported to Tuscany! The wonderful aromas hit you right when you walk in the doors and staff was truly professional. 100% Recommend!!!

We went here for Valentine’s Day dinner, and we were very disappointed in the food, service, and overall experience. There were two problems with the food: the fact that we found hair in our bread for the table and the fact that our overpriced steak was not cooked correctly and very tough (it was $58 and worth not more than $20). Also, the pasta we ordered was okay but nothing special. Secondly, the staff was not friendly. They were not apologetic about the hair in our food, they rushed us through ordering in a half empty restaurant (and were overall pushy and pestering us the whole time), and they were generally inconsiderate and rude. After overpaying for a mediocre meal and service, we left thoroughly disappointed and wondering how this place is rated so well.

Enjoyed dinner during DMV restaurant week. Restaurant has discontinued valet parking service (still listed on OpenTable). Plenty of commercial garage spots available nearby.
Disappointed restaurant week First course was labeled antipasto with miniscule piece of salami to small to pick up with fork ,tini pieces of cheese No prociuto . Should have been labeled as a salad Second course scampi you anticipate some large tasty shrimp,. Shrimp were tiny and appear to be from a can . Pasta was dry and tasteless Canoli for desert was great Wish i ordered ala carte and just ate canoli
Ristorante i Ricchi is a true gem and a longstanding spot that lives up to its reputation for authentic Tuscan cuisine. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by a cozy, candlelit space with a beautiful, classic Italian vibe that immediately set the tone for an unforgettable evening.
The menu is genuinely Italian, highlighting traditional recipes, fresh pastas, and high-quality ingredients, all complemented by an impressive wine list featuring excellent Italian selections. Our waiter was incredibly attentive, and the service throughout the night was nothing short of impeccable—warm, professional, and welcoming.
What truly set this experience apart was being invited to the back for a private tour of where the fresh pasta is made, and having the opportunity to watch the chef prepare our meal. It added such a personal, behind-the-scenes touch and deepened our appreciation for the craft and care that goes into every dish.
We began with the Mushroom Appetizer (Funghi), which was rich, earthy, and absolutely delicious. I ordered the Cavatelli, a squid ink pasta with shrimp, sausage, and tomato—perfectly balanced and packed with flavor. My daughter chose the Pici al’Algione, thick spaghettoni tossed in a garlic tomato sauce with basil and whipped ricotta, and it was just as outstanding.
This was, hands down, the best dining experience I have ever had. Every bite made me feel transported back to Italy. Ristorante i Ricchi delivers Michelin-quality cuisine with heart and soul. We are still raving about this restaurant and cannot wait to return.

My experience here was... wild. We walked in, with a reservation, and the host told us we needed to wait while he called the manager. Then he sat us, and it took a solid 5 minutes for someone to come serve us. While we waited for service, the plethora of waiters pointed at us and talked to each other. Then our waiter finally came over and all was normal after that... We asked what the issue was, and they said they were busy so they were stalling while our waiter was coming over to us, but the restaurant was not half full. Very odd experience. The food is excellent, and maybe the service normally is too. The food is overpriced, even for DC standards. If our service experience was different then I might have a different perspective on price.
My favorite restaurant in DC & the food is always consistent & amazing! Italian is my favorite & I Ricchi is scratch kitchen Italian. Don’t miss dining here when in DC & wonderful staff & service!

Excellent food, but service and timing meals was off based on past dining experiences at i Ricchi
I Ricchi is one of those rare restaurants that makes you feel cared for from the moment you walk in. The food is consistently exceptional, prepared with such warmth and authenticity that it feels like you are enjoying a meal in someone’s home rather than a busy restaurant. Every dish tastes thoughtful and beautifully balanced, and the service is attentive without ever feeling rushed.
The atmosphere is elegant yet inviting, and it is clear that the team takes real pride in creating a memorable experience for their guests. Whether you are stopping by for a quiet dinner, celebrating with friends, or hosting someone from out of town, I Ricchi always rises to the occasion.
It has quickly become one of my favorite places in the city. Highly recommend.

Friends of ours who have traveled extensively in Italy and are Italian heritage joined us for dinner at I Ricchi on Friday night. We were very pleased with the selection in the menu and thoroughly enjoyed our meals! One special treat was when Christianne Ricchi visited our table and sat with us for a while, regaling us with stories from her time living in Italy and the road taken to open I Ricchi in the US. It was an altogether memorable experience, and we'll be back!! Doug Bibby

We had a wonderful time at I Ricchi. The food was delicious and the staff was extremely attentive!
I had not dined at i Ricchi for a number of years, but have always had a good experience there. On a recent visit I found the food excellent, the service prompt and efficient, and the sound level reasonable. Would definitely revisit !
Hidden gem. We’ve regularly eat all over DC and have never seen a more put together and professional wait staff, even compared to the super fancy places like Roses Luxury or the Bazzar. Food was awesome and portions size was good

One of the best meals I've had here. Really outstanding bread, excellent tortellini with chard. My cod dish was near perfect, but my friend's chicken parmesan was just okay. We were too full for dessert.
The fresh pasta is fantastic! Everything we ate was delicious. Definitely looking forward to going to the restaurant again very soon.
