love the pizzas and the ravioli. their house wines are good too and a decent selection over all! the inside can get a little loud so we like to sit on the street which is very pleasant.

Ordered margherita pizza and spaghetti. The pizza bread is amazing, it’s thin, light but tender and chewy. It probably made by professional “00 flour”. However, the spaghetti is probably made by Walmart “$0.99 of thin spaghetti”. It’s overrated restaurant.

Il Canale has wonderful tasty food, outstanding customer service, and the all-around best Italian restaurant in the area. Some other restaurants may be fancier or more expensive. However, Il Canale's authentic food, amazing customer service, wonderful location in Georgetown, clean, modern yet still comfortable facility puts the others to shame. Our favorite restaurant in the DMV area.

One of the top Italian restaurants in town. Really friendly and informative service. There is a reason it is crowded 7 days a week. Great that it can be a simple pizza place or an fantastic branzino and pasta restaurant. Everyone in the neighborhood is there regularly.
I was so excited to eat here. We made reservations and it was like not making a reservation. It was cold night and we ate outside with the heaters so we could finally eat because we were so hungry!
The seasoning was off and the server wasn't very helpful. I expected more authentic. It had good reviews. It wasn't bad, but I won't be returning because it wasn't impressive.

I’ve eaten here twice in the past 2 months while on vacation. Both times were great. The service, food and atmosphere were great. Food came quickly even with a party of 8. My cousin lived in Italy for a few years and she said the pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce perfectly seasoned. She said it was very authentic Italian cuisine. I had the salmon and it was cooked perfectly, a nice crust on the outside and seasoned perfectly.
