The food is Sweet Leaf quality, looks like pre-prepared and mixed instead of freshly cooked before serving. Taste is good enough but nothing special. Expensive. Charged additional 5% wellness fee before 10% tax, plus at least 20% tip. Won’t go there again. DC has become so expensive for dining out for ordinary people.
Went here last weekend with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday, and honestly, it was one of the best group dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. They were super accommodating with dietary restrictions (we had a vegetarian, someone gluten-free, and one person allergic to nuts — fun combo), but the kitchen handled it all like pros. The food came out hot and fresh, the cocktails were creative and strong (try the cucumber basil gin one — incredible), and the waitstaff...
Menu is delightful. Food & flavor interesting & comes thru on the plate! We had dumplings, Persian Plants & Protein, & a Limonana. All were excellent. We found a table out front in the shade, just barely. Would gladly revisit. There's a Cuban sammie I need to try!
