Everyone working here is actually Italian, and the food is excellent. But please, for the love of all, drop the live music on Saturday. The band is terrible.
Very loud, first with a Bingo Night and a kid literally yelling numbers into a microphone, then the general cacophony of the crowd. Service was very nice until we got our food, then it was impossible to get any attention for another round of drinks. When I gave the guy my credit card before getting the check just to save time, I got back only the signature receipt with a final total that was quite high. I asked if this already included gratuity because of the size of our group, he said "yes it does have just a minimum service charge," but I didn't know if that meant 10% or 15% or 18% or what without an itemized bill - my mistake for assuming I'd get a copy like every other place. The arancini are great.

Amazing food! Tastes just like the food in Italy. Highly recommend!

This is Roma style thin crust. Pomodoro sauce was excellent. Not fake sweet but great Italian tomato sweet. This is a gem. Reminds me of New Haven style pizza!

Love this place. Our new favorite in NW DC. New owners are actual Italians, with corresponding hospitality and attention to quality. This property has long had a wood-burning pizza oven. In the late 80s/early 90s there had been an incredibly popular pizza place there, with long lines, but every iteration since then has been mediocre…. Until now. Great pizza: ultra thin and crispy authentic pizza. Home-made authentic pasta. Very good wine selection and owner/managers who really know Italian wine, but not in an arrogant way. The place is becoming a real local, regular hang-out in the neighborhood, on Wisconsin Ave corridor. Nice bar, but also a family restaurant. Interesting mix of people. They also have live music. The other thing we like about it is that they don’t do gas-lighting on tip situation, like so many other DC restaurants. They advertise clearly that there is a 20% hospitality charge and no added tip is expected (and there is no tip line on credit card bill), so there is no double-charging or guilt trip.
Great pizza for a good price. The menu has many options to choose from. I really enjoyed the Diavlo pizza and the aperol spritz. The service was great! Quaint place!

This is a hidden secret! The pizza is amazing (possibly the best I’ve had in DC) and the service is fantastic. Family owned and very friendly and inviting. There are other options too, like delicious salads and pastas. Great beer and wine list. We’ll be coming back and highly recommend!!

Adorable restaurant with fabulous food. Fabulous bruschetta and creative authentic brick oven pizzas, wine, and cappuccino afterward. Reminded us of off-the-beaten-path restaurants in Italy. Will definitely be going back to try other pizzas and the eggplant parm. Great place!

Super yummy pizza. Margherita with prosciutto was delicious. The dough is perfect. Live music on Saturday’s is so fun.Room for improvement:Service can be gruff and rude. Not very friendly. The owner (a blonde woman, I didn’t catch her name) was accommodating but the other older two men (at the bar and the server) have not been nice.Delivery was slow and pizza came soggy. So eat there if possible.
It’s hard to sit here and think of a way to describe when I eat here. I love that I never feel rushed. I love that I’ll always get the best service. I love that the quality of the food is consistent and delicious. The zucchine fritte is a must as well as the cacio e Pepe and you cannot go wrong with any of the pizzas. Please also wash it down with a limoncello spritz ! 11/10
Thin chewy crust, delicious toppings. What else can you ask for in a pizza? We went to In Bocca al Lupo for a low-key date night and had a great time. Would recommend the In Bocca Al Lupo pizza!
Delicious pizza and friendly service. The rest of the food isn’t as good as the pizza. Unfortunately, they are consistently understaffed and even knowing this, they run promotions to get more diners in the door. Last time we waited 1.5 hrs (literally) for our food and nothing beyond an apology for the delay.
This was an experience. When we arrived we were greeted with the utmost respect and we’re immediately met with a waiter asking what we wanted to drink. The server was very kind and asked us how we were doing, because of the earth quake in Turkey and Syria. The food was really good and probably the best pizza I’ve ever had!
